Prophecies Skill on Nightfall

Hi Peeps.

I know this is a really n00b question, but only just started playing GW.

In my trial, my necro got a spell called 'Blood Renewal'. Now that I've got the full game, I've started up a Nightfall character instead, but this time Blood Renewal isn't in my list. I've researched why and found that this is a Prophecies skill.

My question is... Can I travel to Ascaron city and see the Necro trainer there and get the skill or would I be wasting my time?

Thanks in Advance..

Blood Renewal is available at either of the skill trainers listed on this wiki page.

Assuming for the moment that you have purchased Prophecies as well as Nightfall (such as by purchasing the Guild Wars Trilogy), you could do so.

You should be warned that it is not a good skill for most applications. It is strong in certain specialized builds that run Prot Spirit and low levels of life. Otherwise, you really should let your Monks do your healing for you.

If you really want it just get it using a tome (I suppose you using the same account as the trial on which you already had it, so it's unlocked), traveling to ascalon takes quite long time. But I agree with Martin that in most situasions it's not a good skill.

If it's unlocked, then you can buy it from ANY skill trainer in Prophecies, including Firstwatch Sergio in LA, so you don't need to travel to Ascalon.

1. You must own the correct campaign for the skill.

2. A skill can be "unlocked" for your account by a character "learning" it or by using Balthazar faction in the Great Temple of Balthazar area.

3. Once "unlocked" any PvP character or hero can use it, but other PvE characters must "learn" it by purchase from a skill trainer in any area of the appropriate campaign or by use of a "skill tome."

I hope that is helpful.
