hey, I thought I might as well ask you guys for help here since I'm clueless.
this is what happens alot when I try to open sites
I don't have this at other computers (but then again, those have different internet connections)
what causes this? because it's pretty random when it happens, sometimes it works perfectly, other times i get this.

Basically, there is something wrong with the HTML/XML/etc routines in your browser/OS. Or you have some setting in Firefox that disables certain functions.
Do these sites look normal in Internet Explorer or is it the same-ish?
You say that it's "pretty random" - do you mean that sometimes the same site will look OK, or is a bad site always bad?
Try updating your Java, including the Java plugins for Firefox and IE.

If thats the problem, just go to firefox.com and download the latest version to fix it.

It's most likely from your cache. Delete all your cache. Then reload firefox.
Icy The Mage
- type in about:config in your URL bar
- type "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests"
- make sure it's not set to some ridiculously high number, keep it around 4-40 depending on your internet speed
