High End Selling Oddity
Essence Snow
I just had a question about selling in the High End section. I have noticed time and time again that it seems tht only certain ppl get bids on their items there. If one searches the treads (as I have done on a regular basis) you can notice that even though some ppl price items lower than others, they will not get any bids. I was just wondering if there is any reason behind this? Seems rather odd that ex) one post can sell an Eaglecrest axe q9 100e and get 0 bids yet another can sell a q10 Eaglecrest and get 5 bids over 100e. That was just an example. Idk maybe its just me...just found it strange.

Hi there,
I don't think it happens on purpose. I bet if people knew there was another cheaper version out there, they would go after it! Really, it's their own fault that they don't check out their options before bidding. It certainly is strange, but I don't expect that there's any other reason except that people don't try hard enough to keep their options open. There's a high volume of posts going through Ventari's each day, so they only bid on what they may see, instead of using the search function.

A lot of people post there items on high end/sell during the times when there are the least amount of people on.
Choosing a time when lots of people are browsing will get your more post.

Fake bids from friends/guildmates etc. have been known to happen. Even the rare occasion where a group of people would team up to artificially raise prices. Other then that the above 2 posts have it covered.

And people generally bid (in my experience) a lot of the time just to have their purty little icon on there (aka, fake bidding) for the e-peen. Dunno why but they do. :\
