Hello gamers and Regina!
I personally think that there should be a discussion about doing something new to the point system on other events too rather than Costume Brawl and Snowball has to offer to the public at the moment.
One year ago, the point system was updated to a new, refreshing and more enjoyable one. Instead of getting 7 points per win in Costume Brawl, gamers actually got 10 plus 1 extra for each consecutive win. This thing would be nice to have on other minigame formats aswell, like Rollerbeetle Racing and Dragon Arena. The other option is to have the same kind of renewed point system as in Wintersday 2009 Snowball games. My suggestions for the new point system for the two other event games I mentioned above would be like these:
Rollerbeetle Racing (Individual game-mode):
Option 1:
- 12 points for each win - 9 for 2nd place, 6 for 3rd, 3 for 4th, 2 for 5th and 1 for 6th.
Option 2:
- 12 points plus 1 extra for every consecutive win => 12,13,14,15,16,17 etc.
- Maximum points per win to 30 or higher.
Option 3:
- 15 points for each win.
Dragon Arena (6 players):
Option 1:
- 10 points for each win.
Option 2:
- 10 points, plus 1 for every consecutive win => 10,11,12,13,14,15 etc.
- Maximum points per win to 30 or higher.
Option 3:
- 15 points for each win.
These are just my ideas I had in my mind. Feel free to post your comments and possible ideas on this one. Now that even Snowball games reward players more than before, I'm hoping to see a new point system on these 2 game modes (RBR and DA) in the near future.
Rollerbeetle and Dragon Arena Gamer points ideas!

I agree with option 2 for RBR would be a good idea since points in these mini games are quite small and are nothing compared to the point system you get from Snowball Arena and the ATS currently from Wintersday 2009.
Considering how long it takes for casual players to get there gamer points title up its a valid idea which should be considered.
As for DA, I would put it on the same level as Snowball Arena which is 15 points per win, also I would like to see some sort of ATS this year for DA to make it as competitive as Snowball Arena in terms of reward.

I bet Dragon Arena ATs would be popular.
/agree on points for RBR consecs. It's infinitely harder to string consecs in RBR than in any other format. Eventually someone decent is going to trip-SRB and bounce you.
I agree with 15/win for Dragon Arena. We don't want to encourage syncing with consecs here. A single skilled player is going to win in DA a lot; let's not create additional incentives to play with many skilled players.

I like the ideas, why should CB be the only event where u can get massive points. They made snowball a lot better this years with the improved point rewards. Why not make the other minigames give more rewards? so i like the ideas.

The last thing guild wars needs is another noobed title.

It already got noobed by the points for consecs in Costume Brawl. This would just make things equal opportunity.

It's not like this is going to get the titles maxed overnight Ninja Ninja. People would still have to work pretty hard to get em. I don't really care either way. I'm about to get R4 gamer myself. The people who have high gamer scores will still have high gamer scores. People with lower titles will still have lower titles. It doesn't really degrade the title since EVERYBODY has the same amount of access to it and it won't be maxed because the max is still pretty high (it will essentially just turn into the HA title, where titles that were once impressive (wow a rank 6) are now (LOL rank 6 noob).

I don't really care either, I'm pretty sure anet has already planned on doing what hes suggested here for some time. As time goes on there just going to get more desperate with recycling old content to generate interest in gw.

Consider the idea of keeping the same point rewards in RBR, but giving finishing players an extra point for each racer that didn't finish. Too much griefing incentive? Regardless, I still believe that people that finish outside of first place should be getting some kind of points.
I had originally posed the idea of a point-scaling system with consecutives for Snowball, but I suppose the reason why they made it a flat point system is that they recognize that sync teams exist, and they don't want powerful teams just rolling the arena. On that same logic, flat points would be good for DA, and 10 is probably a decent enough number. Percentagewise, it would be a larger increase than that done to Snowball. Any higher, and the Snowball point reward would seem pale again.

Honestly, A.net should just look at the average time it takes to complete a match in all formats and scale the rewards accordingly (ignoring those random snowball fights where you get 5 fakes in a row that go on for 20 miniutes maybe).
