I think this should go here instead of GWG2? Anyway, a lot of people are sick of the EotN log-in screen. I personally would like to go back to Prophecies or Factions, but I know that with the tech upgrades, etc. going back might be fiscally impossible.
The first time they changed the log-in screen was like months out from the Factions campaign launch. I remember having the log-in screen open just to listen to the music and pray that Factions would come more quickly.
So, would you like or do you think that they will use the GW1 log-in screen to promote GW2?
In a recent-ish interview (I couldn't find it) ArenaNet pretty strongly hinted that GW2 influences or lead-ins would appear in GW1. I can think of no better advertising to GW1 players than to be reminded of GW2 every time you log on.
If they created a GW1 login screen to reminiscent of GW2, what should it be? Sunken Orr? Primordus?

Good call. I'm sure Anet will advertise GW2 in the login screen. But I think it will be in form of a small add (like for the Wintersday Costumes), not the entire login screen.

Personally, I think these would be cool:
-Zhaitan sleeping in Arah (we could hear and see (mud blown away) him breathing)
-Primordus is a great idea, as he was the last character/NPC of Guild Wars 1
-Divinity's Reach
-The last of the dwarves with an epic background
-The Five Races (so Rytlock, Eir, Logan, Caithe and Zojja)

I love the idea of the GW2 login screen, but i would rather have them pull all rescources on fixing those security issues first.

if it were to be put in, it should be as an optional screen. I don't need something shoved in my face in order for me to be interested. once is enough. then it should be up to me if I want it to be there.

They could at least change it in concept art stages, reminiscent to how much closer the game is to release.
Personally I'd prefer a black screen over the Eye of the North login screen, hearing that music. It was the one launcher that sadly got boring really quickly.

You might be able to use that DirectSong guide in Community Works to change the music at log in, but I've never messed with that.

i'd like it its small enough that anyone who doesn't like it (hopefully) wouldn't quit the game over, yet adds a nice touch and shows the game is being updated. though at the same time i guess some could interpret it as more of a "get GW2 now" message? i dunno anywho i'd like it 
even if it was just a blank ocean or something with the sun rising/setting, just to show that there is a future rather than having the strangeness of your chars standing in the future
