Epic Fail
Taldur
Why do I epic fail at GW, I can only complete the first few missions. One of my characters is over a year old. I have Factions and Nightfall, is there something that I missed from Prophecies, or are there any good tips from some pros that would help?

Uhm.... How old your characters are have absolutely no effect on how well you play them. Give us more info on what exactly you're "epicly failing" at.
If you need more help on what to do, I advise using wiki.

What is the character's profession? What skills you use regularly and what heroes/henchmen you usually take?
Also, what is the problem? You can't kill anything, die too much, etc?

Well I was hoping for some real begginers tips such as easiest class and camaign but I have a lvl 20 factions Ranger and lvl 4 nightfall warrior. (the main problem is I die too much) as soon as I hit the mainland in factions and not very far into nightfall. Sorry for sounding so unprofessional but I really want to make the most of this game, and it's starting to get me down a bit.

Probably you don't have max armor, a good build, and you aren't in NF with Ranger, that means ur out with heroes too, that makes it harder. You must choose the right Henchmans, build, equipment, and it shouldn't be that hard to done some missions. Otherwise check www.pvxwiki.com for builds, and in mission find a people party (PUG).
Good luck with missions and campaign.

@Jonnie Yes it does. @Linx I think 1 maybe 2 of my armour is not max, thanks I will hunt for attribute quest, and find out which heroes I have.
Taldur
I only have Tahlkora, Koss, Dunkoro and Melonni. All are on their default builds, and I cant find the missing attribute quest.

Well theres something wrong here.
Factions only takes 1 day to beat if you start at lvl1 in shing jea and work all the way through. Even less if you start in NF and just get ferry to docks then KC.
NF takes about 2 days.
PM on a weekend and I'll bring you through the game.

the other thing you could do is look for a better guild in the game
on your factions ranger you will need to finish this next 2 quest:
*unwelcome Guests :get it from zunraa in SEITUNG HARBOR
*Lost treasure : get it from raithanem i think thats his name in RAM MUSU GARDENS
Doing this will get you extra 30 attributes.
Dont always listen to your guildies they might be retards
Read GuildWarsGURU forums ALOT will help you and make you a pro SRSLY
feel free to pm me ingame im a pr0 ranger.

With all due respect, I'm tempted to say TROLL.

Some basic principles (some mentioned above, some not):
(1) Get the highest level armor you can. For a ranger, that would be an armor class of 70. While you are learning the game, you may want to only add minor runes to your armor. They help make your skills more effective, but won't impact your health. Get the highest vigor rune you can afford. Major vigor is not too expensive, but the extra health can help in the early going.
(2) Know your enemy. Use the wikis to learn about the explorable areas, missions, quests and enemies before you head out.
(3) Make sure to use good skills and set up your attributes to effectively utilize those skills. PvX Wiki has lots of good build templates which you can use as a starting point. Setting up your heros' skills is also very important, as the base skill sets the heros have are rather sad.
(4) For a ranger, you may want to take advantage of having a pet along to stay alive. Your pet will need to level up, but once they hit L20, they have max level armor and can help keep the enemies at a distance. I have also seen multiple people early in the game run with "pet packs" (having a pet on their character and all their heros). While not optimal for all areas, it can help even the odds a bit.
(5) Have a necro MM hero and/or Spirit Spammer hero in your party. MMs are very VERY useful in many areas in the game. They help create a barrier between the enemy and your party, helping you survive the battles. Although not as easy to obtain, a Rit spirit spamming hero can also help tremendously, especially in areas where there are no corpses for a MM to utilize. Decent hero MM and spirit spammer hero builds can be found on PvX Wiki.
(6) When possible, pull enemy mobs to your party. Pulling (aka "luring") is a simple concept, but can take time to master. Not only does pulling get the enemy to come to you (away from some defenses, such as traps, they may have in place), but most importantly it helps you only aggro one mob at a time. Rangers are great pullers for normal PvE play. Using Troll Ungent + Whirling Defense just before you pull will help reduce the possibility of getting killed in the process. Look for tips on pulling on the Wikis.
(7) Get in a guild with people who can help you. Most of the best players in the game didn't get that way by themselves, they ventured with others, asked questions, and learned from their experiences.
