I've received a couple of those emails from NCSoft before, but the sender address looks suspicious.

It could very easily be a phishing attempt using a copy/paste job of the legitimate survey emails that NCSoft sends. I can't confirm without seeing the email with links, but you can just delete it without replying. Whatever you do, don't click the links if you are uncertain. Just trash it if you are unsure.

Have you used support before? Have you searched the NCsoft knowledge base as they suggest?

Obviously, if they ask you to download anything or for any account info, it's a scam. Should be pretty easy to spot.

But if you're that worried, don't click it. Delete it and move on.

I had a few of those they just asked if you were content with the support response and if you still had the name of the one that helped you.
Must be some internal thing for them.
The survey is very small and doesn't ask for any personal or game-related info whatsoever.

Wasn't there a GW2 survey with GW2 artbooks to win using something similar? I recall Martin saying something about this being legit but can't seem to find it here (or is it on GW2G? )

EDIT: confused this with that. But the email address sounds familiar and was mentioned in another thread.

custhelp.com - what the heck of a domain name is that? By how the email address looks I wouldn't believe it's a legitimate ncsoft or arenanet email, but apparently it is. (or a service they bought)

My policy is if there is any doubt at all, don't trust it. They'll contact you again with anything truly important.

Well the deal is its not from NCsoft/Anet its from a third party company, that works together with NCsoft.

As you might know, many companies pass on our emails to other companies so the other company can send us offers (timecard anyone?), surveys (which most likely does not help NCsoft, but it does help the company to send us advertisments. That should not really be a surprise, after all your email is very valueable to advertisters.

As with any email you get you should copy/paste or write the adress yourself and then do whatever they and you want to do.If they ask you for too much, like password/login then you should obviously not give that, there should not be any reason for them to have that.

I dont even give them my home adress or phone number,I dont mind giving them my email adress, even thought its highly unlikely that i will take them up oon their offer or survey, but I dont want them bothering with snailmail or phone (hate those callers)

The email doesnt have any badly written english, like the other email going around so thats a point on the not scam side.

Pistachio is right, if its important they will contact you again.

Yeah, I know, but does that mean if I register say nccusthelp.com it's also legit because it has NC and customer help.com there?

Also it looks quite similar to the address I keep getting WoW related blatant phishing emails (it's something like blizzsupport.com or close)

I see what you mean.
I can easily see that its a NCsoft survey from a company named mailap.custhelp.com.,but i can see why the reluctance.
