We don't have much info on them yet, but does anyone know who they will choose? I wonder if you will choose for your account or for each character? And will you be able to switch sides? Will there be any special armor or skills for each side? Use htis thread to discuss the different factions.

Luxon sounds like Luxan from farscape. There's actually alot of stuff from farscape in GW though. A quick example are eidolons.

The factions are probably like the ones in Knight oNline where you have all your characters on one faction.

Factions are what made Planescape awsome...hopefully A.net takes a hint and makes them more then just ascethic...add in some minor benifits and determints to being in factions.

I think that both of the Factions names are very weak, but as long as they have cool backgrounds and NPC characters I'm fine with it, I'll have to wait for more information before I have a clear leaning either way.

Sorry to bring up an old point, but there are many definitions and instances of Eidolons that far predate Farscape. The most general definition being "the astral double of a living being." Not to put down either you or the show (which I thouroughly enjoyed), but I just wanted to point out that almost everything in sci-fi and fantasy has either mythological or historical roots.

As far as what faction I'd prefer, it's hard to say. Like others, I'd have to look at their philosophies first. If ti's going to be one of those "black and white" scenarios, I'd guess (based on the sound of their names) the Luxons would be the good guys while the Kurziks would most likely be the antagonists. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Since Vegas is full of foreign inspiration, such as Pyramids, Venician style hotels and crap, I expect there probably are a fair number of places named Luxor after the place I mentioned above.

Personally, I've never been to Vegas, nor even America for that matter, but from what I've seen of it - Vegas - (pics in books, TV, internet, immitations on GTA San Andreas) I think it's a load 'a crap.<----------off-topic

however, im glad im not the only one that thought of farscape when i read the name luxon ^^

will have to wait it out to see which is bette, but i guess it might be more like AO and Clan verses Omni? (in that Omni got more stuff/better stuff but Clan were nicer) hehe?

personaly, i hope they have a Neutral in there too..i HATE >.< it when i have to side and theres not much between the two...
i mean i dont mind Houses and what have you, but i have a pathalogical dislike for anything that mean i get whacked for just being in the wrong place and being on the wrong side...

i wanna wander about and sell shtick to both sides

true, evil usually does get the niftyest stuff, but then again, they get saddled with idiot henchfellows (not realy related to ours, since they have names and arent called *henchman #1* lol) and have to laugh maniacaly or pose or relpy when the hero asks 'since your going to kill me, will you at least tell me of your insideous plot?' hahaha.

*reminds me to look up top 100 evil overlord ideas again....might come in handy*
