Collectors
Marooned Rainbow
Do collectors give anything out that is worth while? Most things I see aren't the best.

You can get max armor pieces for relatively cheap however I don't think they can hold and insignia but i may be wrong. Alot of the 20/20 offhands are good deals because if you try and mod an item with those mods it could cost 25k+ ("Forget me not" inscriptions are expensive).

There are plenty of collectors that offer max damage weapons with good mods, look here:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Collector_weapon
15^50s weapons
-5/20% shields
20/20 casting stuff
+5 energy weapons etc.
They may not have the nicest skins but for weapon stats you can't beat them.
As tuna-fish sushi says there are also armor collectors. See here: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Categ...mor_collectors who can offer max AL armour.

Some of the collectors have weapon upgrades you can extract with an expert salvage kit. Fiery axe, shocking for sword, charrslaying for sword and bow, etc.

I've always been a bit disappointed that the collectors are generally not worth the trouble. In almost all cases, the collectors items are too easily gotten by other means. Usually, by the time you collect the required items, you have enough gold to simply buy whatever the collector has, from crafters or other players, or you've gotten something better from a chest or a drop.
