So, I recently returned Guild Wars after a many year drought, only to find that I have completely forgotten my password. I am aware that for regular accounts, it is possible to reset one's password with just a randomized e-mail. However, all instances I have found (through support's Q&A and trial and error), this is not the same for accounts that are NCsoft linked: the only way I can find to change my game password is by inputting my old PW (something I do not remember).
My question is: Is it possible to "reset" an NCsoft-linked password manually, or will I have to go through support to get this changed? Thanks in advance.
Resetting an NCsoft Linked Password

Yeah if the account is linked to an NC account, just log onto that NC account and change the password to whatever you want without knowledge of the original password.

I can log into my NCsoft account. My Guild Wars account is (obviously) linked to my NCsoft account. I am trying to change my Guild Wars' account's password - a process that would normally be able to accomplished through the game client. Because my account is linked to my NCsoft master account, however, this process (to my knowledge) can only be done on the page pictured:
As I do not know my password any longer, I cannot reset it under this system. Presumably, this was changed for security concerns (as, par my understanding, ANet and NCsoft have recently had problems with security). My question is, is it possible to reset a game account's password other than this method (sending it to, for instance, an e-mail linked to the account as with the game client password reset), or will I have to go through NCsoft's support with my original cd keys and other such information to get the password reset?

You will need to contact Support. They will ask for proofs of ownership, such as your game cards etc, but they will be able to reset it for you
