Was looking to get back, but I can't figure out the password to my old account. After trying to get a new password, I couldn't answer my security questions, either. I'm fine with starting a new account, but I wouldn't be able to use my current CD keys which I -do- find a problem (I don't want to buy duplicates of CD's I already have).

Do you guys know if they give an option to obtain new access keys themselves? Rather than having to buy a completely new set.

You need to think that the access keys are what you're paying for. the aforementioned CDs are simply to install the game. Installing and downloading Guild Wars can be done without these CDs and in actual fact, you've bought the access keys to an account.

I believe if you are able to contact support (e-mail) and get past their automated response, you have the chance of pleading your case as the original owner of the account. Character names, what is left in invetories, current progress in campaigns i suppose can help prove that you're legit. Support might then be inclined to reset your password and allow you to change it immediately.

Here's a link - http://help.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/ncsof...p_sid=9yjjlQuj

And about the CD keys, you've already used them to activate one account and each CD key is different, you can not use them again. Purchasing a new CD key will allow you to create a new account (you'll need a new e-mail address too, since that will be your account name).

Good luck, and i hope you get your old account back.

You could buy it from the NCsoft store, you only get the key with that anyways,so buy a new key (for full price+extra ) and then use the cd's you already have.

There is no other way, except for contacting support.
They most likely will ask you for your:

-- What first and last name did you use when you created the account?
-- What physical address did you use when you created the account?
-- What date of birth did you use when you created the account?
-- What are all the retail access keys currently registered to your Guild Wars game account? (Please include the retail access keys from each campaign.)
-- What is your Guild Wars login name?
-- What are the last 4 digits of the credit/debit card used to make any Guild Wars purchases online from us? (if applicable)

If you can give them the keys your already a step foward, you should have the login name, so thats another step foward, if you can give them the name or address you used im sure you will be a huge step closer to getting your account back

Thanks for the replies. I'm gonna try contacting their phone support tomorrow and see if I can gain any success.

If all else fails, I can call them names to make me feel less stupid.

Aren't the security questions like "Mothers Maiden Name, First Pet's Name"? The answers for them should be the same now as what they were when you first used. Unless you tried to sound cool and said your pet hamsters name was Nostradamus or something

I've actually answered security questions in somewhat of an ironic way multiple times that eventually bit me in the future. Also, it could depend on how I typed it. If I lived in Cosnina Dr, I could've typed it as: Cosnina Dr., cosnina, Cosnina, cosnina dr, cosnina dr., etc.

In any case, it turned out I had actually gotten the account name wrong. >< I have my account back now, though! So, success!
