Buying/Selling..grrr

The auction place is far better for actually making buys.

-You can see if an auction has a reserve and simply refuse to bid on them if you want. (I hate reserves. STUPID concept.) that "concept is used to make sure people dont lose alot on items. Lets say you pay 100k for an item(alot i know) then you put it here on guru. You have the s/b on the item 80k to get people flowing into the pace an bidding. But, you alos put a reserve of about 105~110k(this maybe more, alot more ).
This way, you cannot lose money on the auction. So lets say the best bid you got on it was 90k you would've just screwed yourself out 10k if you didnt have a R/B. Its just a term to be a safetly net so that if you dont get a good bid, you can go sell it ig, or try another day.

As far as guru and ebay goes, there are no true auctions with Reserves. There is just you paying what you would have paid retail(or someone selling at a universally agreed upon price) and then some. Reserve is that sneaky little catch 22. If I say I wanna sell you this Bean Pie and I say name your price, yet I still wont let you get it if its not at where I want or more, your just getting fleeced. Reserves turn "auctions" into wars for profit maximization. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I will pay more for someone who asks a high price than someone who hides it as a reserve just to spite the shit outta you.
