^ THAT is all you need, sliver armour will always target the monk boss first if you're doing it correctly.

Remember, using NM will make foes attack slower than in HM, thus making it hard for the 1st cast of sliver armour to kill the boss.

Oh yeah, and that bosses unique item sucks.

Yasmin I think your right, I have been trying to warp to the guy but I can't seem to get the flow right from the start. I perma up, run up to the guy using dash then press those magic glyph, urals, ebon then sliver but I got some problems. I switch on time and such but I can't seem to get sliver to affect scar near vasburg armory...

I have been trying to get monk elite tomes.

Never had a problem with scar eater. Very easy boss to sliver.

Are you at least grouping them right?

Try aggroing as much as you can then rush to him.

woops my bad. you are right, i was talking about the other rit bosses. I just zoned out of vasburg and slivered (scar eater) him down no prob. are you doing it HM? maybe if you are trying NM or something it is more difficult but i cant see any problem as he went down with one sliver in HM.

I just published a little video on youtube showing the exact way I do it. The vasburg armory is a pretty huge outpost and it always annoys me when I have to spend 2-3miniutes running back to the explorable. So you can use shadow of haste to litteraly kill the Scar Eater once every miniute (ish). Really great for getting those tomes.
My skills are Glyph of Swift, Deadly Paradox, Shadow Form, Urals, Intensity, Sliver, Shadow of haste, Dash.

EDIT: Oh yeah, hard mode is pretty vital not just for killing but also getting the tomes, haha.

Ebon battle stand + sliver are enough to kill scar if you aggro the 2 nearby groups (i.e. you have 3 groups attacking you) so something like this OwZSk4PTSf8I6M4OID5i8QNQ (http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Special:PvXDecode) works perfectly: cast gos, deadly, sf, aggro the 2 groups near scar (using dash/dark escape/shadow of haste+dash makes it faster but you could do without ofc), shadow step or run to scar and cast gole (not really needed if you want to kill only the boss though), ebon and sliver. Usually shadow stepping helps with making sliver target the right thing but you shouldn't have that problem with scar eater.

EDIT: btw, you shouldn't require daggers for this run, but make sure that when you are casting sliver you are wielding a weapon with +20% enchants (the best option is just to keep the staff the whole time)

ok i dont get this - every scareater run i do as perma sliver it targets scareater straight away and he dies on first sliver.
He`s one of the few bosses ive farmed that ever do that - even shatterstone gives me problems as i rarely get first lock on him.
Sliver targetting i dont understand - some say it targets the lowest ar foe which at times it does but you do scareater and shatterstone and it doesnt - shatterstone is ele so same ar as scareater also has same foes.
Daggers i wouldnt use - kirins have tainted flesh ( think its that one ) and you end up being poisoned/diseased

Shadow of Haste is a fun skill but since you are just farming the one boss then you might as well save yourself some time and just press "M" and click on Vasburg when you are done

But as was demonstrated in the video you can take just about any bar with sliver and kill the boss etc
