WTF new build 1/28/2010

Ok so I exited GW to get the new build and now my password doesn't work on ANY of my accounts. Please don't reply with the possibility that I got hacked. I am well aware of that potentiality. I just want to know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

Maybe this is their latest in the war against hackers. If they make game accounts inaccessible to all players then they're completely safe!!! :P

same here. just posted on the other thread about this. i was like OMG im freaking out!!!.
but i see that its happening to alot of ppl so im cool w/ it. i thought i jsut got hacked and got a fake "a new guild wars build" or something ;p you never know in this day and age the tech some ppl have ;p

I am pretty sure everyone who exited guild wars for the new build is suffering through this same problem

Wow, Askish, that does suck. I jsut wanted to play GW before I did my geometry. Maybe I should go work on it while GW is down lol.

So bring up your "Run" box and type in
<filepath>\gw.exe -email <email> -password <password> -character <character name in quotes>

Anet needs to srounge up some new revenue to continue paying for development of GW2 so they figured they'll just lock everyone out and make them pay for the game again.
I suppose they figure - hey if we can get people to actually spend money on friggin' costumes, no telling what they'd pay for!

This happened to me as well, I thought somethign was wrong with my password so I sent the reset password thing, which still hasnt came after 2 hours. If anyone finds the solution please post.
