Did you receive the update while trying to run from TexMod? That could make it not work.

Try closing GW, then running from TexMod again. It was working fine for me last night, after the second update.

Mine hasn't been working properly for a while now. Sometimes I get it to work by just closing and relaunching GW, but that doesn't always work.

I guess it depends on the mod that you are using.

1 minute ago my TexMod was still working with the Cartography Made Easy Complete Collection.

1. The game reloads itself during an update. You must quit and restart via texmod for texmod to work.

2. Texmod goes screwy if it has to replace a texture that isn't in your .dat yet. -image your .dat.

3. Certain mods won't work if the positioning/mesh/usage of the modified texture is changed dramatically in an update. Stop using those mods and make a new one.

That's the only thing I use, and I can't get Texmod to work 90% of the time.

I only use it for the carto mods, and lately when I attempt to open it, it hangs and takes 12 years before actually launching GW. Haven't tried yet today, but will do so shortly.

@Verene and Jensy: weird. I only use the Cartography Made Easy Complete Collection, and have been using it for about a year now, hasn't stopped working once.

Vista 64-bit by the way, if that makes any difference.

I use many(more than 10) mods, but rarely the Cartography collection(only Elona left). TexMod works for me. Do what Chthon typed.

I think I know how to fix your problem.

Occasionally when you run a to-be-updated client, even restarting with texmod does not allow texmod to function properly. To fix this, you need to replace the Gw.exe with a pre-update Gw.exe. At this point, you can update the Gw.exe normally, then re-open it with texmod. If you use GW Multilaunch or GWx2, you should have extra copies of the Gw.exe clients. Otherwise, download the client from the official site and overwrite your current GW client with the one online.

I'm also on 64-bit Vista, so yeah, that's weird. I've been using it fine for a long time, it was just recently it gave out for me.

His advice did nothing whatsoever to get it to work. I always load up GW by itself before loading up Texmod, just in case, and I have a separate shortcut just for -image.

Ariena's advice, however, did. So thanks, Ariena
