Best way to farm festival items?

Someone told me it was raptor farming... but doing W/N barely yields any drops =(

I agree. Although, you may want to want till a bit after the festival to sell your goodies. As almost everyone and their mother will be selling during the festival.

/sigh, your class dosen't determine weather or not stuff drops. You're doing it right, if you're killing them, just give it time, it's luck/chance based.

(If we are to be graced with the presence of Rift Wardens) I use the Strength of Snow to do most of my cc shard and item farming.

I do however also rather enjoy taking my necro out for a stroll in Eastern Frontier outside of Frontier Gate. The level 3 and 4 grawl there are pushovers (I use a N/D scythe/blood AoE build, you could seriously just wand these things at lvl 20) and the necklaces trade 2 per eggnog/fruitcake/etc., as well as some event drops.

I tend to do better drop-wise there than raptors, given that you get something useful at least for trade every time regardless, sometimes 10 or so per run and still only takes a few minutes.

Regular farming for Wintersday items is simply not worth it. Too many items and the drop rates for each are too low. Leave the raptors and the vaettir alone and concentrate on quests. Snowball Dominance and Strength of Snow are the two best ways to pile up Wintersday items and shards that can be traded for presents that will give you a couple of items each.

This. And you get CC shards along the way. I usually have pretty good luck there, but generally speaking Snowball Dominance is way faster. Just that the rewards are purely party points locked in tonics, which can be pretty slow if you're rushing the title, and Wintersday presents are... iffy if you're looking for one particular title.
