Canthan New Year: Crafting Fireworks?
Zodiak
Hello everyone
I am currently trying finish off my Party Animal title. I am also aware that the Canthan New Year is comming up and that you have the opportunity to craft Fireworks. Now my question is, given the low amount of points the offered fireworks to craft and the price of materials, are there any of them that are actually worth buying materials to craft?

Thank you!

you can calculate it on your own.

Estimate each party animal point to be 150-200g. Check on wiki how much points each item gives. Then compare it with the cost of what it takes to make it. Did you gain or lose?

ok well since i have already maxed my party title with the redux ill help you. this is a very good way of getting fireworks for profit/title uses. the easiest firework to make is the bottle rockets because u only need to stock up on 2 mats. u will need 7 stacks of wood and 8 stacks of glittering dust per stack of bottle rockets. as u may know they are material artisans all across GW and they craft rolls of parchment for 5 wood planks and 20 gold, so u will need 5 wood stacks and 5 plat per stack of parchment. ok so in the recent weeks ppl have gone up from selling glittering dust from 3k to 3.5-4k a stack u will need 8 stacks so that equals 28-32k to get all the dust u need for a stack of party points. wood sells for 1.5-2k a stack so that equals 10.5-14k perstacks plus the 5k you will need for crafting parchment. u grand total come to be 43.5k-51k per party stack. if u sell for 200g per party point thats 50k per stack. with the recent drop too party points u may have to wait a couple months for the points to go back too 250g each if they do. but if u plan on using them u break even or save a couple plat if u get mats cheap.

Hmmm, very interested. I guess my point is that I do not want to pay to complete my Party Animal title and I did not know how much party points went for. This is very interesting ineed.
Thank you

hmm well if u just want to farm it thats the only way of attaining party animal free. have u noticed EVERYONE and thier mother has frosty tonic stacks now and they all got them in less than a week and still getting more thats why the party price fell. if anyone knows how they are getting them then that will pretty much be the fastest way of attaining enought to max ur title free. beside that in the post above party points are 200-250g each unless u buy tonics now they are 2 party points and 100-150g each so its alot less if u get tonics. but it takes alot longer cause u have to map or wait 50mins to use another tonic.

The snowman tonics are farmed doing the snowball dominance quest over and over. This is probably the main reason the price of party points ahs dropped so drastically since the Wintersday event started. Its very fast and easy to get stacks of tonics that way.

Well I now know the trick to using Tonics now, which I didnt know about in the previous wintersday unfortunatly.
The only way of using a Frosty Tonic is to be in town. You can use 2 or 3 by clicking on them fast enough initially but cannot use another in the same district unless you wait 50-60 minutes. You Can change district each time but with the loading time its rediculous.
The trick is to die IN town, which doesnt happen often. However, if you have both of your hats already, you can take part in ALL of the ODD Number districts where Grenth will win and go on a 15 minute killing spree in town, which will cancel your tonic each time you die, allowing you to consume alot of them in little time.
I am sorry If this is all to obvious to people. I just learned about it after the previous wintersday

This is a very good way of getting not only tonics but gold and reputation. It just takes so long to use them though when you have a few thousand and you need to consume them all. I just wanted to know if there was anything I was missing about the upcomming canthan new year and the ability to craft fireworks.
EDIT: Hello again, I am home now and I can think this through more thuroughly. Following this formula I came to this conclusion with Min and Max prices
So following the prices mentioned, you would make Bottle Rockets for between 158-204g a piece. I'm just wondering if its worth it with the price of Party Points.

You can easily cut down on costs by farming the wood and dust yourself, either by farming for those items specifically or for items that you know will salvage into them. Both wood planks and dust are pretty easily obtained that way.

Honestly, I would just buy stack of frosty tonics 40k each for points.
You can consume 250 tonics in 10-15 minutes doing the tonic glitch.

Whats the Tonic Glitch?

Probably that you're able to consume 2 tonics if you click quickly enough. It doubles the rate at which you can convert tonics to party points. Then it's just a matter of zoning as fast as you can between guild halls/chinese districts/whatever.

Don't know if this is just a subjective feeling I have but, if you do zone from a pvp area (like Guild Hall) to PVE area remember to empty your build, take of your armor and weapon.
Zone to empty outposts, or between small areas.
Zoning in and out will be slightly faster doing so because it appears the game algorithm doesn't have to 'setup' your character, i.e. change pve skills to pvp skills and vice versa, load your configuration again and again.
You may not notice the difference with a single zone in/out, but when using stacks and stacks of tonics, you'll see the difference.
measuring the total time spent on:
1) Spending one stack of tonics zoning between GH (PvP) and crowded Kamadan (PvE) fully dressed and equiped and full skill bar
34.4 minutes per stack, 68.7 minutes per 1000 points
2) Spending one stack of tonics zoning between small empty outpost (Ice tooth cave, PvE) and GH (PvP), wearing no armor and no weapon, empty skill bar and empty Inventory, ofc with a stack of tonics
37.2 minutes per 1000 points
3) the same as above (ice tooth cave -GH) fully dressed and equiped and full skill bar and inventory
37.1 minutes per 1000 points
I recognise that there are several shortcommings to this approach since several variables that could have an influence on loading time could be important and I only chose 2 possible combinations of many.
Thus it appears it doesn't mater what you wear or carry in your inventory or skill bar as long as you zone to empty outposts, rather then full ones.

This is very good information on speed consumption of tonics. I would like to thank everyone for all of this. So from my understanding, the following would increase consumption of tonics:
Force -dx8 through a command line Use your Guild Hall to switch between Use a town or outpost with nobody in it. Use the portal of a town to end a tonic rather then switching districts Take off all armor and weapons to increase load speed Take off all of your skills to increase load speed Lower your graphics as low as they will go Use the F5-F8 keys to open only a single bag to keep on your screen and only have 1 item in it to increase load speed so GW doesnt have to load all your items and to speed up the use of tonics Double click tonics as fast as you can to use 2-3 at a time (Never been able to do 3 at a time) Make sure you are in Fullscreen mode as Windowed mode takes more resources Do NOT use KSMod to force high resolution textures in town (obvious) Do NOT use Textmod (obvious) Did I miss anything?

Raptor farming -> get Great Conches -> put "Measure for Measure" (highly salvageable) on them -> salvage for ~100 dust each.

This may sound rediculously stupid but it just occured to me. Would it not be faster to use 2-3 tonics, hit F12 to logout and log back in to use tonics instead of going from town to town or guild hall? Do you think there would any overall speed inpromvement? I am at work and cannot test.

I have to admit, doing all of the above really helps. I can get loading down to only a few seconds between Fisherman's Haven Asia district and the guild hall down though I wish my hall did not have snow to load each time lol.
I would like to thank everyone for the tips to make the compilation above. It is really helping! Now if only I could find something to help my sore fingers.
