Weekend Events Schedule...
Marvel-Kid
I don't think Anet just tosses any ol'random weekend event out of the blue. I can only assume they follow a schedule...
So here is my question... Where is the schedule that they follow? Is there a simple pattern that we the players can follow?
I'm trying to find the best synergy for maxing titles. I need to find out when they have double Kurzick/Luxon rep weekends, double EOTN rep, double lucky/unlucky points. etc. etc. etc.
This way I can calculate when the next one will be (if there something like that out there already) -I have searched the forums and couldn't find any threads such as this.
Thanks everyone.

I don't see where anyone tried to figure out a repeating schedule, so you could do it yourself. The wiki has the list of Weekend events as they have occurred. The archives are linked on the right-hand side.

yea if you figure this out you will be amazing. And i do beleive they follow a pattern b/c last weekned( during the redux) they had "accidentally" thrown double lucky/unlucky pts and double chance for keys/ lockpicks. They didnt annoince it and most ppl missed out on it.
So yea they do follow a pattern i just dont have the time/attention span to go through 4yrs of weekend events to find the pattern. Gl and when you find it out( if you do) tell us.. we would be interested to know

Several years ago, Gaile asked the community if we'd like a schedule of upcoming events, and I recall right she asked if we'd like that a few weeks or months in advance. This makes it likely they have an actual schedule.

Yeah... but I don't think its automated in any reasonable pattern. We've had these events for... 3 years now. If no patterns been found by now, it doesn't exist.

Even if there is a pattern, it will take a LONG time to learn what it is. Hero Battles and Team Arenas used to have a weekend event, and they were removed. So the schedule will have been shifted. It MAY be possible that they simply replaced the HB/TA events with CA events, but I don't think that is how the setup works.

Also, keep in mind that a "schedule" does not imply a pattern. For example, a sports team will have a schedule of games it will play this year, but there may be no pattern to the schedule, except for major events like the World Series or Super Bowl. Even the next year the schedule may change due to many factors (new teams, new travel arrangements, etc.)
So, ANet may have a "schedule" of upcoming events, but there might not be a "pattern" that you can predict.

For all those years there was no weekend event schedule BUT I remember reading somewhere that they have automated the weekend events in the last couple months, just like they did with monthly zaishen chest tonics. Can't find it in official update notes so it must have been in some dev's talk on wiki.
So try finding a repeating pattern of events in just the last couple months, everything earlier than say 4 months shouldn't count.

I find it hard to believe the choice of events is automated, Yawgmoth. Maybe the on/off flipping of the switch is, together with all the changes in variables. It would make more sense someone has already chosen what events will be featured for the rest of the year, simply letting a program do the rest of the work.
Trinity Fire Angel
or does it depend on what titles the people in ZoS and rawr are going for?
--- joke btw.

I never said the choice of events is automated. Since they usually want to alternate between PvE/PvP events their selection had to be manually put into the system.

Well...I guess I'll look for a pattern.... I'll post what I find...

Double Kurzick/Luxon has happened only 4 times, with spacing of 15.5 months, 7 months, 3 months, and now 6 months and counting. Good luck finding a pattern there .

ok my friend said that there IS a pattern but he doesn't remember it. So far... no pattern has been found. I studied the events from canthan new year through last years. I have found no pattern. There seems to be a SLIGHT pattern but it's like...
Here's an example: (W=week)
W1= AB____________________W11 EotN x2 rep
W2=EotN x2 rep_______________W12 AB
W=3GvG____________________W13 GvG
it seems like they were "miss placed."
I made this huge chart of 2010-2008 Wintersday, but like I said, no REAL pattern so far...
