Here's a crazy new radical idea; how about implementing a little thing called a "packet" into guildwars? What is a packet you say? A packet is a bundle of items all conveniently in one inventory slot. What would these accomplish? I was thinking of speed clears or trades over 100k+. Up to 5-8 individual items (in quantities of 20 for each item) for a single packet. Imagine:

-a packet for consets (one click that activates it all)
-a packet with consets + consumables (solo farming)
-a packet with pre-set amounts of materials for crafting (crafting anything)
-a packet with 8 golds
-etc etc

I think it would be so cool to be selling a con packet (whatever materials needed to craft a conset) or a packet that has materials for obtaining every glove/hat from eotn. The possibilities are endless.

We would probably have to pay for it

we already have it.. its called stacking.. :P further, thats why they have the extra xunlai panes.. it would take away from them being able to sell you a pane. not gonna happen.

Problem i see with it is when you go to trade something with it, unless u can see everything inside it. If the person says "trust me, theres 50 golds in there" its not gonna work out.

good thinking but cant agree to do it for one simpl reason of they need all the people they have to get gw2 done pulling any valuable resource away can delay the gw2 progress

Sounds like someone needs to make better use of their storage space.

We don't need this.

I thought this was going to be talking about packets sent between client and server, the huge ping time therein, and the commonplace of packet loss.

Instead its about PvE farming, which is the only part of GW that does and has ever mattered.

And how are you going to see exactly what is inside these packets?

Seriously? I thought we just got an increase to storage (even IF we have to pay for the extra 4 tabs- we stil got free bags and a 4th year anniversary pane).

Sigh. The crying will never end. :\

This is pointless, unnecessary, and would just be a waste of time for devs. /notsigned.

Well of course all the items would be displayed and the amount of these items. Ex. you would see that you are getting 8 unid golds or 4 sets of consets etc

Doesnt go with the concept of inventory.Meaning one slot being able to hold 3+ items(of diferent types) goes against the way inventories are coded, which would require quite some pointless work for that idea.Buy more panes if u're short on storage, geez.

Major storage update was part of last birthday update.
Your 'packet' would hardly improve trading and would increase potential grievance.

Such a sub-container (packet) update now would be ridiculous and kinda pointless.

I agree that this would be a cool idea but its an idea that is years too late to implement. As for how you'd see what's in the packet, I assume there'd be some sort of mouseover tooltip that would display a packet's contents. This would be more relevent if we had a mail system. CODing a packet would save time and money. *sigh* I wish GW had mail and COD.

This would be cute if we could mail items to other players, but here it's not needed.
