Guild Ancestors Reunited [?????????]

Hello.

For years I've always multi-cliented via registry editing. Having said that I honestly have no intention of changing this as I am very accustomed to it and find it unbelievably easy to do.

Now, I've known about GWML for a very long time and I recently recommended it to my fiancee for easy access to running multiple GW accounts since she doesn't know how to edit her registry ect ect.

Well, I sent her the GWML download link and the program worked for her with no hassle. After I sent it to her I decided "what the hell? I might as well try it just so I can say I've used it once" and so I downloaded it for myself. After extracting it to my desktop, I went ahead and tried to launch it. Upon doing so, it gave me the following error:

I've tried redownloading the program 3 times now and every each time I attempt to open GWML I always get the error message.

My Operating System is XP 32-bit (and yes, I downloaded the 32-bit version of GWML) if it matters at all.

Any help would be appreciated but is not required. This thread is purely for educational purposes to solve future issues of the same nature for anyone here on Guru who may also stumble across this issue.

~Thanks

edit: Solution found. As per my post (#5).

Bugger GWML, go for gwx2. Tiny clean and it works. I've used it on xp, vista 32, vista 64 and win7 64. Easy enough to find, just put gwx2 in Google and go for it. No worries.

Nevermind, I found the fix.

Here's the thread I used (compliments to Google <_<).

Apparantly the problem was I never re-installed .NET when I reformated my PC.

Also, by reading through all the posts, it seems all '0xc0000135' errors can be fixed simply by installing this from Microsoft.

Go figure.
