Is there a way I can buy an access key? I really want to play now.

You can't buy a used key if that's what you're asking. Buy online from the official NCsoft store from the link Kook provided or go to your local Walmart or game store and buy a new sealed gamebox.
Buy anyplace else and you'll likely get ripped off.

You can also buy the game from the in-game store I believe.
To get to the store you'll need to have downloaded and installed the client, assuming you have a trial account you can log into.. you can then select the Store icon and purchase the game from there. To do this you'll need a credit card and have (or create) a PlayNC Master Account.
However, this is likely going to be the most expensive option. You can likely get the game cheaper at a local shop assuming they have stock (ie bestbuy, walmart, eb games, etc).

If you buy a "box" from anyone it MUST be sealed. If its not then your taking your chances. I bought the eye of the north prerelease off of e-bay. I was very surprised when it was factory sealed because I was taking a risk. It paid off but the risk was real.

Before I bought GW, I went to some local used game shops that I buy a lot of PS and old Nintendo games from and asked for Guild Wars. Luckily all the stores that I shop at are run by honest owners and they all told me they don't carry used MMOs and such games can't be bought used.
A typical Ebay auction reads something like this......GUILD WARS NIGHTFALL! GET IT NOW, ONLY $5.99 BUYOUT. FULL CAMPAIGN! ALL ITEMS INCLUDED.
So, is it new? You don't know. Even if the ad says NEW, you need to contact the seller before you bid and make sure. Just e-mail them and ask if the game he's selling is still factory sealed with an un-used keycode. You'll get a variety of answers:
Answer: "Yeah, it's still sealed in the box. I bought 10 copies from a going out of business sale.".........(Perfect, that's what you wanna hear. If it arrives with a non-working keycode then you can dispute the sale and get a refund from the seller or if he's a scam artist then get a refund from PayPal or your credit card. I've done this with items on Ebay that weren't as described. It works.)
Answer: "It isn't sealed, but it's brand new. I bought it and only played for a week and didn't like it. I put the keycode back in the box."...........(Do not buy! You've run into a clueless seller and they are selling a worthless game)
Answer: "Nah, it's used. My son played for a few years but he's moved onto other games. I don't know what you mean by a keycode, but the discs and manuals are all there."........(Again, do not buy. The stuff they are selling is all available for free on guildwars.com.)
