did NOT belong in the high-end thread; and the admin should have known that, but instead ran on a power trip and banned everyone who agreed it shouldnt have been there.

The admin needs to remove strikes against the opposing accounts on that thread and the thread should have been moved or closed in the first place and/or admin needs to learn more before becoming an admin to further prevent this from happening again.

items like that belong in the giveaway section. only reson there are bids now is because of what i said

Rekliss,

First and foremost, regardless of the thread itself, you and everyone else in that thread had no business posting non-bids and joke bids. The choices you guys made are your choices and that's final. If you have a problem with a thread or user, the only acceptable courses of action are using the Report function () or contacting the relevant staff member.

Second of all, such threads have the right to exist. It is a legitimate item that does not violate the EULA or threaten someone's account security. We are not going to penalize the seller because people get silly. As with any other thread in Ventari's, if a person posts a non-bid, a fake bid, a joke bid - whatever you want to call it - we hold the person who made it responsible, not the OP.

Lastly, there are certain items of significant contention that have the possibility to garner high bids, and this is likely one of them. To you it might be worth 10k, and to a collector it could be worth 100k or more. Most items in the market have a much smaller price range, but we feel that this is one of the exceptions.

If your complaint regarding the content of the thread is that it's an Improperly Listed item, the only solution would have been to report it and leave any actions up to a moderator's discretion.

My suggestion to everyone who posted in that thread is this: realize you, in the context of the thread, are not an exception to the Guidelines.

Regards,
Jenn - Ventari's Super Moderator

Rekliss,

All I did was enforce the Ventari's Corner Guidelines. Everyone who was given an infraction in that thread violated the rules and was punished accordingly, including yourself. The rules for that section of the forum are very involved and are enforced with a zero tolerance policy. If you want to call that going on a "power trip," that's your prerogative.

The original poster believed that item was worth 100k or more, and rightfully so, seeing as it was Price Checked by other members of this forum in that range. Before breaking the rules, yourself, you should check all of the information that went into the original poster making a thread like that in High End. You had absolutely no business making a post in that thread unless you wanted to legitimately bid on that item. Jenn has already covered that, though, so i won't go into it anymore.

For your information, I did close that thread temporarily, not because I didn't believe it belonged there, but because it was an attractant for flaming and trolling. After some discussion amongst the staff, however, it was decided that it should remain open because the OP had followed all guidelines to the letter and it was not his/her fault that someone else decided to break the rules by posting fake/joke bids in that thread. I left a clear warning to all members of what was expected should they decide to post in that thread. You, along with others, decided to ignore that warning and you were punished accordingly. The "strikes," as you call them, will not be reversed. I encourage you to re-read all the rules of this forum before you make another post which speaks to your misunderstanding of them.

As Jenn has already informed you, the only acceptable actions if you believe a violation of the rules has occurred is to use the report button or PM the appropriate person of authority. Any other action taken by you may result in unwelcome consequences to your account. I would have been more than happy to explain my actions to you if you had PM'd me, personally. In fact, I have already done that exact thing with other members of this forum.

This is the last time I will post in this thread. If you wish to discuss this matter further, please send me a private message and I will respond accordingly.

Just to round this off:
Stuey G was one of the two users who Price Checked this particular item and he is, apart from being a former staff member, also one of the most respected and experienced Price Checkers we have on this site (anywhere). The OP was absolutely right to take his advice and post accordingly.
