Point to PvP Item Cap?
Darth The Xx
Is there a point to this? or is it just to make PvPers lives needlessy harder?

I don't get what you mean by item cap, if you can carry as many items as a pvp char and you can make infinite sets. UNLESS your one of those people that have to carry 10+e-peen weapons AND your pvp items. Nobody has made a legitimate argument against the current item cap in characters alone in 4++ years

He means you can't make more than 22(?) PvP items. Its annoying when you have low/high energy sets, 40/40, shield sets, wand for proting, wand for healing, wand for smiting, wand for divine favor(ing?). Not to mention different headsets/armor for +1 attributes. It gets very annoying, but its not a make or break. However I'll still /sign for anything that makes my life convenient

Playing with a bit, you can dump your items in storage, make new ones, then transfer those in storage to your bags. Just then you can't make new ones without transferring a lot of gear into storage again. Very frustrating feature which serves no purpose

You're either doing it very right or very wrong to feel you need to be switching between 22 items, or more, in the middle of a PvP fight. Which side you're on depends on how good you are at doing it, and if you're doing it any less than perfect, you're probably not doing so hot.

edit: also I'm not about to destroy red items I paid for.

Why not use the equipment template and save your PvP gear(s) as a presets. Just carry what you NEED, nothin extra.
Ariena Najea
I seem to recall that reward weapons (Reds) do NOT count towards the 22 item cap.

this made me mad a while back. then i decided to get rich and roll a pve monk. thing is i still use up all bag slots and a heavy equip pack, zzzz.

You've got all ur shields, +30hp wep. caster sets, which is like 15ish right there. but you also have more than 1 attribute per character, having to destroy and remake items is very annoying

Why don't you simple save a template for smite monk armor, infuse monk armor, woh monk armor.
Do you seriously make all possible good armor as soon as you make a PvP character? Rerolling must be a pain.

You know that you can't switch items from inventory in a PvP match (maybe it was armor?)

Which brings me again to my original question, what is the point of the cap?

An inventory full of gear allows you to sort out slots as you're waiting for battle / in match / fighting zaishen. You can't do that with templates.

There isn't a point to it.
I'm at my cap as well.
A lot of the items getting me to it will rarely ever be used, but I carry them regardless because I know there will eventually be that one match where a 15^50 wand or staff will be optimal or the odd -3+60(hexed) or whatever else.
Really, if you have all these things you can barely have dyed armor if you don't wanna waste money each time you have to change runes or insignias due to builds.
