windows 7 + vent =fail?

hi guys i'm running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. my computer is running a dual core processor 2.6ghz each core, 6gb ram. here is my problem: when i'm running gw either in windowed mode or full screen and trying to use the ventrillo chat, if i dont make the ventrillo the active screen i cant send out. and on the rare occasion that it will let me speak out when i hit the action button for the vent, when i release the button it wont release the mic until i make the ventrillo the active screen. is there a solution to this or should i revert my brand new pc back to windows xp LOL.

Vent works fine for me on Windows 7 64x Home. My suggestion would be to try running Ventrilo as administrator. While I've not experienced the issue myself, a few guildies have had it and this solved it for them

Right click on Ventrilo Icon > Properties > Compatibility > Run this program in compatibility mode > Run this program as an administrator

EDIT: Actually admin works just for me. When I was on 32x I had to run compatibility. :\ Try just running it as admin first.

Yeap, just right-click > Run as Administrator...
