Monestary Overlook

I'm at 98.2% for my Canthan Cartographer. I noticed a chunk of what I need left is Monestary Overlook. I am a Canthan character so I have a bit of it explored.

My questions - can I get back there? Does it count as Canthan Cartographer? (I heard it wasn't needed anymore, or can be filled elsewhere).

The Assassin skills Heart of Shadow and Viper's Defense can be used to gain access to this area for exploration. Either skill can be used to shadow step across the portal from Linnok Courtyard into Shing Jea Monastery without triggering the usual rezone. Bringing a hero, henchman, or other player along is recommended; they can be used as targets to reliably shadow step across the portal in a single attempt by stepping close to the portal, targeting a player, henchman, or hero in the appropriate position, and using one of these skills. Without any party members, there are no targets close enough to the portal, and Heart of Shadow and Viper's Defense will cause characters to shadow step to a random location if no target is selected.

Edit: still works, just tested it with heart of shadow 1 minute ago.

How do I do this? I'm trying it right now... I don't get it.

1: you equip Heart of Shadow
2: you add 1 hero or henchman
3: you zone to Linnok Courtyard
4: you stand right next to the portal
5: you flag your hero/henchman on the other side of you
6: you cast Heart of Shadow on the hero/henchman
7: voila! you are on the other side of the portal without zoning into Shing Jea!
8: explore Monastery Overlook, you can walk through the apparently closed gate.

or alternatively wait until monastery outlook opens up again for the festivals. though using the sin skills will get it for you now.

Easier Way Just speak to the Guy by the Gate in Shing Jea

if not grab a traing quest and again u can go through if you are canthan char
