Mixed dye on ranger question

I wanted to make my armor fully red, almost the color of blood.

As u can see, the Leggings are purple, but made with the same mix (Orange + Red).
Is this a known bug that it changes to another color?

I also heard something about, if you dye the armor I have, you can't get the original color back... Even the dye remover doesnt help, is that true?

Anyone?

Something like that happened to me before. I realized what happened when I noticed one of my mixed dyes was missing. Maybe you did the same.

If I remember correctly purple+yellow will look orange. Maybe you mixed that with your red? Thats kind of what the armor looks like.
