Mesmers (IMO) are best played in PvP. One on one intrrupting and focusing on one guy to shut down is a lot more fun for the Mesmer. In PvE, the Mesmer IS useful...don't get me wrong, but PvE are all bot monsters, which are stupid and often get rocked in the face by Mesmers with little to no skill. If your Mesmer is in PvE but you enjoy it in PvP more I'd re-reroll as a PvP-Only Mesmer, Which is what I did before I had an extra slot to retry a PvE Mesmer and keep the PvP one at the same time because I enjoyed the Mesmer A LOT in PvP.

This. If you have any further questions after reading those threads feel free to make a new post in the respective sub forums.
