I have started vanquishing and I get annoyed when I canĀ“t find the remaining enemies even though I searched for almost the entire area. Is there like a program or something that will help you find all the foes?

Nope, you have to find them. Remember not all groups are stationary. Knowing where groups might patrol will help.

Ph and of course, you know that if youve done "almost" the entire area, then the missing ones are in the part you didnt bother with ^.^

Be sure to check the appropriate area on the Wiki. Sometimes there are patrols that wander of for quite some distances. Most tricky parts of them are mentioned there.

What I always did was first scrape the edge of an explorable, make a full circle (if possible), and slowly work inwards. That way you are sure to catch 99% of foes.

Also, hold down CTRL always, sometimes the names of foes pop up earlier than they are visible on the radar.

It's also easier and more enjoyable to vanq with more human players. Especially if you are at the end of the vanq and still need a mob, you can easily split up to different parts of the map to hunt down that last mob. This is of course also possible with heroes (just flag them away).

If, upon exploring the whole area I'm still missing something - meaning it's a patrol - moving backwards helps. I really wish there were some kind of cons/skill "detect life" that pings not-yet-killed foes lol.

Anet should make it so that after 90 mins in a map, the remaining mobs come and find YOU!

I second this! When clearing an area, it's wise to do it systematically (inward from the edges), keeping an eye on your spin map for moving dots, even while in a battle, and make a mental note of where you are & which way they went.

I wish their was a program that showed all the enemies on the map that you open, would make it much easier. I've heard that the desert in Tyria is the worst with patrols, especially the Minators. Splitting with other group members does help out a lot. In th end all you can do is search.

+1

sometimes there are other issues. when i was vanquishing deldrimor bowl, i supposedly had a few mobs left. after running through the whole area five times, carefully checking every corner and so on (~2h), i've finally went towards the portal to the next location. aaand suddenly, the area got vanquished, even though i haven't found any mobs.

I had that same thing happen to me in Deldrimor Bowl. It's the exit in the upper right corner.

There is also an area that has foes that (sometimes) disappear into a next area - and if you are not fast enough you cannot vanquish the area. I forgot which area, check Wiki.

I find that when I miss things it's when theres a little bit off to the side where the squarish map hooks off to go to a portal. I always check to see that I haven't overlooked any areas like that. Example: The portal at the bottom, in the middle: http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/File...s_Path_map.jpg
