I have started to VQ mainland Elona and yesterday I was having some problems with the mandragoras bloodspiking me with the newly buffed ravenous gaze. Has anyone else had this problem?

I diddn't even think of that. The ravenous gaze boss has got to do like 400 damage aoe with it now.

Tbh just makes me happy I already had Elona vanqued.

I would say that, spreading out would work but you have to remember with ravenous gaze its all nearby allies of target. So that is 3/4 of the aggro bubble that everyone has to be from everyone.

Im glad that you have some problems with VQ'ing. Not to tease you or something. But now it get's a lil harder (And more fun). So it aint lameway vanquishing anymore

Just spread out a bit when getting to mandragor's and dont lure too much of them in 1 time. Dont know anything else that could work. Maybe some interrupts? I hope you'll find a way to have 'less' problems with them

Yes you do. Flag your heroes as you want them (ie spread out) and sacrifice one of them as a lurer, prot them up and send them ahead of the group looking for popups. Once mandragors appear, have this hero run back to the group. As long as you're careful, don't go too fast or send your sacrificed hero too far ahead you should be fine. I've been using this method a lot in hard mode with my survivor and it works, although the sacrifice often ends up taking one for the team

Pops have fairly static locations. You can expect pop ups to occur pretty much at the same places every time you enter a zone. There will be a small shift at times, but the general location is static. Once you learn this, it is quite easy to predict pop ups and plan for them.

Eh?
AoE Ranges:
Adjacent, Nearby, In the Area, Earshot.
Earshot is about the same as aggro bubble. Nearby is about a 1/6 of that. The wiki doesn't specify if these ratios are areas or radii, but if it's the former then you're still only looking at a ratio of 0.41

I been anywhere in NF since the update, but I can't see it being a huge problem. Most mobs only have 2, 3 at most, Necros in them. At high blood magic they're still only going to ~60 AoE damage each. There's far worse out there.

The boss might be more annoying. The 60-70 damage will become 90-100. But even then, there's worse.

The Angorodons in EotN are going to be much worse than the Mandragors in NF.

I just vanquished an area with lots of mandragors a few minutes ago. Pain Inverter owns Mandragor Imps. Plus, ravenous gaze really doesn't do a lot of damage, Chillblains is what hurts. Anyway, I had no problems vanquishing.
