A few fantastic ArenaNet artists will be attending the Emerald City ComiCon in Seattle on March 13th and 14th. Swing by Artist's Alley and meet Katy Hargrove, Kristen Perry, and Matt Barrett, three of the most talented and charming artists in the game industry.

For more information and a show floor map, visit Emerald City ComiCon's website.

Katy Hargrove, Creature Artist

Artist's Alley Table I-08

Katy will have prints, buttons, and sketchbooks for sale, including her most recent sketchbook, "Rawr! Dos." This $15 book contains 148 pages of Katy's personal sketches from 2009—she'll have a limited supply on hand, so make sure you get yours!

Visit Katy's website: http://tangrala.blogspot.com/

Kristen Perry, Character Artist

Artist's Alley Table I-09

This year, Kristen will have prints available at her table and she'll also be doing pencil sketch commissions for the first time! If you want to commission a pencil sketch, make sure to bring a reference of the subject you'd like Kristen to sketch. The subject doesn't matter, as long as it's tasteful. Kristen will have a sign-up sheet for both days of the con, and sketches will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Matt Barrett, Concept Artist

Matt will also be attending Emerald City Comic-Con this year. Look for him in Artist's Alley with Kristen and Katy.

After Con Meet and Greet

Whether you go to the con or not, we're having a meet and greet with ArenaNet staff at a local pub in downtown Seattle! Join staffers at the Elephant & Castle Pub and Restaurant on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 18:00 onwards. For more information, and to RSVP, visit the event page.

[N.B. - I unfortunately, will not be able to make it to the meet and greet as I'll be in San Francisco at the Game Developers Conference all next week.]

I bought the Art of Guild Wars 2 and there's some extremely talented people you have over there. I live on the East Coast so not going to make it. I would like to see some of the things they have done though and plan on at least visiting their web sites. Will Anet be show casing any of the art work that's being shown at the show or can we only get a peek at that stuff through the respective artists web sites ?

At this time, we don't have plans to spotlight their work on either the Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2 websites, as their spare-time projects aren't Guild Wars related. But at the same time, we did want players to at least know of the opportunity to meet them at Emerald City, and to let people know that many of our creative types do cool things when they aren't working.

Please visit their websites to see what non- Guild Wars projects they're up to.
