Playing from Iraq
Zarzt
Ive always wanted to play this game, but im currently deployed in Iraq with a 128k connection. Does this game still play well if you have a high ping?

From personal experience I would say that a 128k connection would be good enough to play the game normally, you might not be able to get into a lot of PvP with that connection but PvE should be fine. I used to play this game with a similar connection speed and it was no problem.

thanks for the answer and im not op to answer your question shishkabibble.

Currently hubby is working in Iraq as well and other than occasional WiFi burps he hasn't had any major complaints about his PvE gameplay.

That connection is better than no connection at all! Having a little piece of home so far away sounds like a great idea. I hope you get time to play.

I hope it works for you. Thanks for your service!

You should be fine. I had to use dial-up once upon a time for GW and I was able to play without being burdened too much.
On a side note, thanks for all your hard work over there. Be safe. ^^

We had a monk around 2 years ago that used to heal us in GvG and all on dial up so you should be fine. Take care of yourself man.

Zarzt - While you are playing this game in Iraq please practice good OPSEC while you are in game and stay safe!

Should work and be safe

The only thing that might cause you problems are the updates, they may take quite a while on dial up. Other than that, the game should play "ok" for you.
Thanks for your service and be careful.

Depends on how high your ping is. If it's consistently around 500ms or more the game won't be fun in my opinion.
