Hi
I already have all Guild Wars Campaing, excpect Prophecies..
so I have a question..

is it worth buy?(I mean good story etc??)

I also have question about Auctions..

I am new in GW, so i try to gain my reputation in auctions (i mean when I will try to sell "rare" item there will be no problem with buyers)
So is there any information about GW2 that says "there will be no Auction Houses) or somethink like that?
because I want know is people will still use Auctions in GW2

I'd like to encourage you to produce better English, but if it's not your primary language, that's probably understandable.

Prophecies has a pretty cool story, and I wouldn't doubt that there are a few skills unique to Prophecies that can be rather helpful in both PvE and PvP formats.

Whether the GW Auctions system will be used for GW2 is not my decision, but it wouldn't be a surprise to players for GW2 to have an auction house of its own. If it is designed well enough, having the GW Auctions system for it may be unnecessary.

Prophecies is my favorite! It's the first GW game! You should really get it.

Uhm, GW2 will prolly have an ingame auction house. So we don't need guru auctions as much as before anymore. But I think it will still be used. But only a little bit.

In the Aion and WoW forums for example, there are still some sell/buy threads. But not alot. Even less then in these forums iirc

prophecies is the best campaing to start... but if you already started on nf or factions you will find prophecies very slow... long missions etc... is totally worth it though... but there some prophecies haters... is just too pure for them :P

In terms of storyline, Prophecies is without a doubt the best of the 4.
Factions is the most fun, in my opinion.
Eye of the North is the easiest.
Nightfall is the worst, but has a decent story.

Prophecies is well worth the money if you like Guild Wars. It is the slowest but it does feature the strongest story line of the three games.
As for auctions; there has been no formal announcement that there will or will not be one in GW2 however it is on the list that the developers want to build into it (according to the PC Gamer article from a few years ago and if I remember it right).

What KZaske siad is probably the deciding factor. Proph has some good skills, but none of them is critical for any build, nor does it have spectacular drop/equipment-as-reward, nor does it give any class an advantage (other than skills).
But it has for a lot of people (it seems) the best story line. NF has better storytelling, but the story itself seem to not be a favorite. GWEN's story is mostly interesting because it links to GW 2, even tought it has proabbly the best storytelling (good book, but empty words... kind of).

Proph is slow, but if you are willing to sit back and enjoy a not too straight forward storyline, enjoy the missions even tought they're not EXTREMELY exciting (not saying they're boring, but NF/GWEN mission do have better technology and tools) you'll love proph.

As KZaske said, if you like GW for the game itself, you'll probably like proph. If you're buying it expecting GWEN/NF-like gameplay and difficulty. You might want to wait.
EDIT: to clarify, proph has the less focussed story, but also the one who will show you the most places, and a lot of places are left unexplored by the storyline, so it is an Expplorer's dreamlans.

As others noted, the story is very good. Some don't like it, but most people I know do like the Prophecies story a lot. One thing to consider (which was overlooked by others) is the skills. No new classes are available to you from Prophecies, but a few nice skills are. I won't list them all, Wiki can do that, but a few from each class may shed some light on what skill options exist.

Warrior = Eviscerate, Backbreaker, Crushing Blow, Earth Shaker, Rush, Defy Pain, Warriors Endurance, Bonetti's Defense

Ranger = Crippling Shot, Incendiary Arrows, Ignire Arrows, Serpents Quickness, Melandru's Resilience, Winter, Edge of Extinction

Monk = Peace and Harmony, Contemplation of Purity, Dwayna's Kiss, Unyielding Aura, Vigorous Spirit, Restore Condition, Balthazar's Spirit, Essence Bondf, Vital Blessing, Shield of Judgement

Elementalist = Mind Shock/Burn/Freeze, Shock, Grasping Earth, Ether Renewal, Rodgorts Invocation, Meteor Shower

Mesmer = Blackout, Power Block, Signet of Weariness, Guilt, Shame, Wastrel's Worry, Fevered Dreams, Distortion, Migraine, Ineptitude, Channeling

Necromancer = Dark Fury, Spiteful Spirit, Insidious Parasite, Animate Bone Horror, Aura of the LIch, Necrotic Traversal, Consume Corpse

Now, I tried to limit it to what I have seen in the various 'meta' builds, or in farming builds. I did leave out many skills I find useful to various builds myself, but there are a lot of Prophecies only skills that are used by all 6 core classes in many builds. For instance, if you wanted to run a bonding Monk for PvE, you can't do much good without skills from Prophecies like Balthazar's Spirit, Essence Bond, Mantra of Inscriptions, Life Barrier, etc. Sure, you can bond, but it will be much worse than someone with Prophecies skills. And that is just one of many examples.

you are also missing pre-searing and the chance to get the title Legendary Defender of Ascalon.

Also, along with the story line, you are missing the underworld altogether. You will never get Obsidian Armor or some of the rare pets if you are a ranger.

This is the Best game. If you have Hero's Prophecies is super easy.

So yes get it,

Ignore this person. Underworld is a CORE location, accessible from any of the 3 campaigns. Factions can get you there from Zin u Corridor, and Nightfall can get you there from Chantry of Secrets.

Just to be sure - you are aware that Prophecies is just the name given to the original GW? If you already have the campaign that takes place in Ascalon, Lion's Arch, etc., you already have Prophecies. Or do you perhaps mean Eye of the North?
But, yes, Prophecies and/or EotN are worth getting.

I certainly hope there will be an auction house in GW2, or some other "security question" to log in. It seems a bit counter productive to have to know an in-game character name to log in to GW and yet you need to supply an in-game name (IGN) to be contacted by a Guru auction winner.
At this point we don't know for sure if there will be an auction house in GW2.

Prophecies is certainly a must if you wish to eventually do High-End areas such as the Fissure if Woe or the Underworld. While you can still go to these areas via other campaigns, Prophecies is the most popular to do so and so getting a group together is much easier. Other than that I would get proph if not just for the skills and a 'new' campaign to have some fun in

Gheesh, Getting ignored totally is just a bit harsh do you not think?

First I do not know where "Factions can get you there from Zin u Corridor, and Nightfall can get you there from Chantry of Secrets" these places are.

But the outpost next to the Dragon's layer is that accessible every where else?? its called the TotPK's. And what of the skills and quests.

Also not to mention the 1,000,000 gold that I pull out of Prophecies Pre-Searing every single month? I am not kidding. I pluck 1 MILLION gold a month from that place getting my GotH.

And what of the Storyline? What of GWEN? what of the quests that you can ONLY do with a Prophecies Toon in the Hall of Monuments with the Tapestry Shred to carry us to the story line of GW2?

Just oh, ignore him he's an idiot cause he only plays Prophecies??

thanks.. thanks a lot for your kindness and comparison. Being corrected is one thing but to hurl insults is...well its just plain rude...

You should stop posting unless you are going to stop making yourself look foolish. Underworld and Tomb of Primeval Kings are completely different, and ToPK does not come into play for Obsidian armor (which is what you were referring to in the first post). Then you make a typo which can be forgiven, but does make you look foolish. It is the Dragon's Lair, not 'layer'. And I did mention the story line in my post to the OP, but I didn't want him to be mislead by your mistakes. I did not insult you, I just told him to ignore you. If I had wanted to insult you I would have quoted some of your other idiocy from other topics. And I'm glad you can make money in Pre, many people can/do. And nowhere did I say you were an idiot for playing Prophecies only, in fact, I didn't know you only played Prophecies.

I am actually one of those that finds Prophs mind numbingly horrid. I will pretty much do anything in anyother campaign b4 doing anything in prophs. Of my 10 chars 10/10 have beaten factions, 10/10 have beaten Eotn, 9/10 done in NF (dervs eww), and 1/10 in Prophs. I think my worst nightmare would involve playing my derv through prophs....2nd worst..playing any other char there.

That being said, it is a large addition to the world u currently have access to. So if u r looking for extra content...it's there.

My above comments merely reflect my opinion and do not represent others or any experience u might have.

While it's not an absolute must have, if you want to access the elite areas Fissure of Woe and the Underworld, the starting outpost of choice of the whole community is Temple of Ages (ToA) which is in Prophecies. While these areas are considered 'core' and are accessible from Factions (Zin Ku Corridor) and Nightfall (Chantry of Secrets) you won't find parties forming to play those areas there, but only in ToA.

Anyway, if you want a complete Guild Wars experience you should own all 3 campagins and EotN, and that's without saying one is better than another. Each one offers unique gameplay and stuff that cannot be found anywhere else. And the biggest most important reason to own all campagins have always been the SKILLS - There are plenty of Prophecies campagin skills which you can't learn anywhere else, and some of them are really really good.

Prophecies is absolutely my favorite. I love the story line, but what I love most is the wonderful variety of terraine from beautiful meadows and woodlands, waterfalls and rivers dimpled by falling rain drops, to a post-nuclear (looking) Ascalon, to gorgeous beaches, unbelievably stark but beautiful desert scapes with remnants of ancient civilizations, and then there are quiet vistas of snow covered mountains. The music is nice, too.

In my opinion, there is no other campaign that can match the gorgeousness of Prophecies. I got my grand master cartographer title in Tryia (prophecies) because I just loved wandering around and looking at how incredible it was.

My least favorite is probably Nightfall because I dislike the tormented lands (but being a wurm is fantastic) and Factions is boring until you get out of Kaieng Center and get to choose Kurz or Lux.

Proph is by far the best story-wise and its varied terrain is always nice . It is also the slowest when it comes to leveling up which means you will have more time to learn the ins and outs of your class. It will also fill you in on some lore that is mentioned in Nightfall that you wouldn't otherwise know and some jokes.

Its also got some must haves skill-wise. I wont name them off as thats something for you to discover . Its only real negatives are if you want to change your secondary you need to do quests and the 15 point attribute quests aren't till mid to late game .
