I just got a Dolyak Prod staff from an Eye of the North chest. It's r9, gold, max, but lacks an inscription slot.
Anyone ever seen this before? Is it a glitch? Worth zillions? I'm planning on merching it, but was just wondering if this is common. Thanks.

I got a non-inscribeable Chrysocola Staff out of an end chest in HM. Apparently they are not that uncommon.

I got in in a HM chest. Not upset as I was assuming it wasn't worth anything without a slot. At least it wasn't a Chrysocola staff. Now that would suck!

It happens, also happens in UW/fow chest, seen multiple e blades without slots.

Now after they fixed the deathbane bug it can only happen to staffs but chances are smaller than 1:1000. It doesn't matter if it's NM or HM. It's probably impossible to tell what causes that to happen now.
