Something Different to Grind at...
Apok Omen
I was thinking, wouldn't it be a bit better to be Air of Superiority? Higher chance of recharging skills if you gain a bunch of exp in a short amount of time, and then it wouldn't matter how long WD lasted. Plus, better e-management.

This.
Yes having that skill would greatly improve it. There's plenty of room to add it too.

Everything dies at once so the benefit isnt really that great.

Love this build. Sad part is, I just had a great drop about 15 runs in, so my luck is prolly all gone already

Been trying this build with the Snowmen and have to say that I just love it. its perfedct for them, easily maintained. E management is especially easy. Runis super quick. So like i said awesome build.
Actually I will be modifying to take out all of Dungeon, just for fun. Which is alot more fun to me then grinding the same thing over an over. Will not be difficult though cause there is ample room on the bar. Actually when fighting the first 25 snowmen i only ever use 4 skills.
Looking forward now to Easter weekend so thanx alot for this build

R/Rt also works with:
14+ Wilderness Survival
12 Restoration magic
Dryder's Defenses, Dwarven stability, Storm Chaser, VwK, Vengeful Weapon, QZ, optional, optional
Pull them to the same spot but don't run back up and just use VwK. 3 casts should kill. Drop a QZ a lil farther back b4 u aggro.

Does anyone know of a build for a Warrior to farm this?

Ah been loving this build. GOGO PERMA RANGERS!
Here's some extra updates for you Guru members.
HM Glints Challenge Solo (NM is VERY easy as you just take 0 all the time)
ToPK Ecto Farm NM

Very cool build- I'll have to try it when I get my ranger there.
For now I'll just use my mesmer :P

The build also works in ravenheart gloom in DoA for the first group of creatures the one with the shard of brilliance. I just wait until all the whispers guys are dead then pull them into a ball as much as possible. They drop torment gems.

Just a suggestion, could we start a list of groups that this build is able to farm? Maybe put the list on the original post

14 dmg ...more fun

The perma-ranger works ok in City of Tor'qua with a Life Bond/Barrier bonder from the Margonite Lent PvX build, will post what i've got so far tomorrow. It's a little faster than a sliver armor A/E, but only because it's AoE... and nodoubt the A/E option is a really bad one these days
So far i've managed to clear all but two groups from the front in about 15mins, but keep dying because i'm a nub forget paradox when QZ is down

The City builds, as promised. I don't know of any specific ways of making these pretty though
[R-A City Whirling Tank;OgcTcZ88ZiHRn5AiVkAKu8uU4AA] with [Mo-R Winnow Bonder;OwIU0yHDRcFOMe0UkybkPPlA]
For better reliability (for stupid tanks like me), a QZ/EoE/Winnow ranger would be nice to try but I havn't had the time or guildies to test with yet.

Funny, I remember having it, but quest's not there. I didn't have Saint Anjeka's Shrine on my map so maybe I did or didn't do it. Do you have be aligned with the Luxons to get the quest? Can we somehow get in HM if we finished it in normal?

Thx. Guess I'll have to find a different spot.

Well... we got *most* of City done..
My second time getting that far with any "farm" team, so the whirling at the end left two Ki and one JAAADDOOOOTH
The A/E was running Sliver build with his bonder for emergencies, which could take the last group more strategically for bosses/Kis before making the rest go kablewy

maybe ad a nec with mop think that will booooooooooooost the damage would suggest 1 tank 1-2 bonder ( 1 ele bonder and if its too heavy a sec monk bonder ) 1 Mop / Spirit Spam ritu or nec for moping them and kill the leftover with spirits. should also be possible with a monk/ranger or ele/ranger if anybody is willing to test it would love too see the results maybe a sc city run in like 5 min :P ( ok don't know how to nuke the ones on the wall... )
ok and with the 55hp monk build thats just way too slow how about using a 55hp 100blades monk kills all moss in under 1 minute.... just use Protective Spirit with Shield of Absorption and Shielding Hands --> perma 0dmg , Balthazar's Spirit for energy and adrenaline + 100blades + ww + buh --> 2 shots and everything is down

Tried MoP with a friend with recall in an attempt to break agro, without a backline healer and more damage it'd all go totally wrong, groups run off from pretty much any distance after they've been agro'd.
The wild throw problem is frustrating in city, we've tried an ER bonder without cons and that runs out of puff.
We handled the wall like the old A/E sliver with lots of agro and winnow where possible, barbs on the wall foe would work very well, but getting it on most of them would take longer than just whirling it down imo.

You can get the mantids outside of Nahpui Quarter if you pull 'em just right.

What build are you running for gloom?

Most of these tricky builds are great ways to farm yourseelf. If I want this sort of beastie, there are good Ranger SoS or Rit SoS farms that are slower but higher return because your survivability is very high.
