I am not here to complain about any particular posts of mine that have been deleted...(as I'm sure that there was a good reason xD )...
One thing I just thought might be nice to see on here is getting a pm from the mod that deleted it explaining why they felt the need to delete it...Without that if I feel the mod has made a bad disicion in deleting said post I can see their reasons right there and can pm them if I believe their action might not have been warranted...
Now...I understand that quite a few posts come through here every day and that this could add a good bit of work for mods especially with some threads in which half the posts have to be deleted...but the Ventari’s Corner people seem to be doing good with their bit of editing with the rules and the part that needs there attention bolded...
meh...maybe I'm just crazy though xD
--sorry if this makes no sense at all...
Deleted posts...

End,
The reason Ventari's looks like they're able to do well with everything is because we follow a significantly different process for moderating in most regards. While we do find numerous non-bids, early bumps and other violations in a day, I can assure you the number of posts deleted elsewhere vastly outweigh the thread closures and non-bid stamps you would see in a day in Ventari's.
Generally, a lot of posts are deleted because they are non-contributory to the purpose of the thread. If the deleted post is more serious in nature or the poster has a history of causing trouble, they may be more likely to see a PM, or receive an infraction warning. Otherwise, contacting the author of every deleted post would prove to be far too arduous of a task.
If a user notices their post/thread has been deleted, they should contact a moderator of the corresponding forum.

Jenn pretty much sums it up.
A good number of posts are deleted because they were responses to another post which were deleted (this happens a lot).
It simply takes far to long to PM each user separately.
Ask if you are wondering why a specific post were removed.

This is one of the issues we frequently get questions about and trust me,- if we could, we would.
Most of the time, people should be able to figure out why a particular post went missing, if not, we are here if you ask

This idea comes up from time to time. Here's a summation of the thinking on the matter:
