Question about the Hall of Monuments
Robbert
I read this @ GW Wiki:
Certain in-game achievements and items will allow you to add trophies to one of the five monuments, and each trophy will unlock something, such as an exclusive item or title, for a character on a linked Guild Wars 2 account.
And the following:
Kimmes The Historian can switch the view of your Hall between character-specific and account-wide. It is possible to have a full Hall in the account-wide view, even if none of your characters have a full Hall by themselves.
If I want to get all the benefits from the HoM in GW2, is it good enough to make my HoM full with the account-wide view? Or do I have to make it full with one character?
Thanks for the help

Anyone that can answer my question and is sure about it?
Do I need to fill my whole HoM with one character or can I for example complete the monument of Resilience with my Assassin and complete the monument of Honor with my Necro, and the other 3 with my Dervish and will that count as a full HoM for the obtaining of exclusive items in GW2?

Likely not. Nobody fits your description that's willing and able to tell you about it. You'll have to wait until ANet tells us more about the HoM and the transfer of rewards into GW2. If they give us some further information on what things that go into the HoM come out as something else in GW2, you'll hear about it enough here.
I believe that it is satisfactory to fill the HoM across the account to reap any rewards you want, but I can not say this for sure.

Ahh, thanks. I guess it's best to do it all with one character then :-)
Update: I just read this at GuildWiki:
Link to Guild Wars 2
* Each of your GW1 characters has its own Hall of Monuments. However, the rewards will be "unlocked" account-wide and will transfer to your GW2 account, and it is possible to display all monuments attained on one account in GW1.
I guess that the good answer is that you can do it with the account-wide view

With regard to the HoM and GW2, your achievements account-wide are considered, you don't have to fill a hall on one specific character.
So yes, you can fill one monument on one character, and another with another character or even part-fill the same monument on each character, as long as you have the monument full in the account-wide view.
The HoM has always been considered to take into consideration the accomplishments of your whole account, and the relative bonuses will be available across your whole account in GW2.
Anet have also said that you can acquire additional bonuses in GW1 after GW2 has launched and you will receive those bonuses.
They haven't indicated how the bonuses will be applied, if you'll get bonuses for partially completed monuments or what you can do, other than that whatever you receive will be a cosmetic enhancement and will not give you an ingame advantage over non-GW1 players.
Hope that helps.

Wrong..
If you foutfit the hero's and fill the monument on toon 1 and then go into the hall on toon 2 with no hero's in the monument and switch to Account wide you will see NO HERO's on toon 2.
To have a FULL HALL you MUST display the MAXIMUM amount of "things" for each Monument

I'm sure I've read this at other places too.
I have a different question though:
What if character A on my account has 4 heroes displayed, and another character B has 1, but at some point I want to reroll char. A.
What will happen to my HoM? Will the 4 heroes disappear, or will the account-wide accomplishments be remembered, even though the original character that unlocked the statues is gone? Will character B still see 5 heroes in the accountwide view, or just the one?
Same question with armor/titles/weapons/minipets (although you can put mini's and weapons in your xunlai box)

Awesome thanks. So that also goes for heroes and titles then?

Once something is in your HoM, it stays in your HoM. You can think of your HoM as being tied to the account.
Sjeng
cool. Even if you delete ALL characters? would a completely new toon walk into a filled HoM? I think that's pretty well done tbh.
Well, as far as I'm concerned, this topic is answered and can be locked tyvm.
