New post problem

I'm not entirely sure where to put this. It involves the site, but I think it could be on my end?
Anyway, when I log on and click the forums tab..I can see along the right hand side the most recent posts and when they were made..etc. But when I actually go to the sub forum...say "high end" it shows the last "new post" was made more than 4 days ago...really confused, and must say this is absolutely annoying. Any ideas would be appreciated. Again sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

If responses could be pm'ed to me that would be great since I cant see any of the new posts.

Ok, so you can't see any post at all more recent than four days ago? Is it the lack of the "Today" and "Yesterday" marks on post timestamps that is throwing you off? They took those down a week or so ago; now even new posts have the date on the timestamps.

I just tried loading the main forum index page (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/) I see the column, second from the right, with the lists about most recent posts. I tried both the hyperlinks of the threads' names and the little black & white arrow links - both seemed to work fine; they took me to a recent post on a thread at the top of the section's list.

I'll continue to post here now. Now that I have the physical link to my thread I can see it, and recent posts. My problem is that when I'm on the forums I can see this...

But when I click on the sub forum I want to browse, I see this...

It's not on all the sub forums though...Just seems to be the areas I post the most...currently having problems with Nolani and the recruitment threads

Don't know how much I'll be able to help, but 2 questions:

*In those threads where the 'last post' lists a date a few days old, can you actually see those posts when you go into the threads?
*When did this start happening? Has it always happened?

I'm not very tech savvy about making vB work right either. A few questions off the top of my head, and none of them are meant to patronize AT ALL! (It's always better to try the simple solutions first, right?)

1) You do know that in this section, Site Feedback, no one can see their new thread until a mod comes along and approves it first, right?

2) Have you made any changes to your settings in UserCP or Display Options recently? Anything with changing the default way the board is set to display threads?

3) Are you sure you're looking at the top of page 1 of the subsections when you see only threads from a week or so ago? (Again, please don't take offense - I'm simply trying to rule out the simple stuff.) If you go to page 2 or something and then back to page 1, does that fix it?

4) Have you tried clearing your browser's cache? I haven't seen the problem you describe, but I've had times on Guru when some of the gifs wouldn't load and wound up skewing all sorts of things on pages. Clearing my cache always fixed it.

I can see the new posts when i click on the link which shows theres a new post (if that makes any sense.) like in the first pic if i was to click on "Raven's Commissions" it would show me that thread and all the posts just fine. but thats the only one that ill be able to see recent. if i actually click on nolani, all the posts will not have been updated since mar 21, even ravens.
happened mar 21st. first time its ever happened.

On the next visit, if some of the files the website needs are already on your PC then they don't have to be downloaded again. Ideally, it saves time browsing the same site over and over. If your local copies get messed up somehow, it can make the websites appear and/or behave oddly.

In Internet Explorer, I think you do Tools -> General/Browsing History hit the Delete button. On the new window that appears, choose "Temporary Internet Files" and say Delete

In Firefox, do Tools -> "Clear Recent History" Make sure "Cache" is checked and hit delete.

I'm not sure how it works in other browsers, but if you open their help and type in "clear cache" it should tell you what to do.

Afterwards, when you go to a site you visit often, like Guru, your PC will download all info about pages fresh from the server. It shouldn't take very long.

I don't know if it will fix the problem you're having, though. :/ At worst, it will be one more easy fix we've ruled out.
