When you reapply Mantra of Earth the effect of the skill simply continues.
You could have taken 5mins out of your day to test this to you know. =p

It's probably the order of the skills cast.

Example:
Mantra of Earth: -50% dmg
Stoneflesh Aura: -30 dmg
A certain foe does 60 dmg to you

Situation 1: mantra cast first, stoneflesh second
60 dmg -50% = 30 dmg. 30 dmg - 30 dmg = 0 dmg. You get 0 dmg.

Situation 2: stoneflesh cast first, mantra second
60 dmg - 30 dmg = 30 dmg. 30 dmg -50% = 15 dmg. You get 15 dmg.

You are probably getting damage in the time between your recasting of mantra and recasting of stoneflesh (a short time of situation 2, after the recast of stoneflesh you are back to situation 1 until you have to recast mantra again).

Solution so you have the shortest amount of situation 2: recast mantra while you are recasting stoneflesh, that way you only have a second or less of situation 2.

that's what i thought at first but u can cast mantra then stoneflesh u will still lose health for a few seconds then u just stop losing health
not right after u cast stoneflesh just a few seconds each time
it seems to be very wierd some builds i don't lose it... but those are the builds i have an overkill of +armor and damage reduction

@kosar that explanation makes no sense whatsoever
mantra doesn't have a cast time
i keep it maintained at all times in my builds
it's never down yet when it's first recast quite a few times it will cause a loss in health for a few seconds

Bold parts are my comments.

Not to be a troll, but OP, you did title the post "Answer this", which is exactly kosar did. It would also help if your original post was a bit more understandable.
