SS/LB Delay

So seeing that the weekend bonus is delayed for some reason, would it stand to reason it might be extended by an appropiate amount to compensate?
LicensedLuny
That it *might* be? yes
That it *will* be for sure? nope

How come lately they've managed to screw up even supposedly well-proven events like this?
aspi
Damn so I did gate of madness for nothing? Hmmm

Plz dont blame them, Anet's janitor might have pushed the wrong button.
yosser
just had a game update....the janitor might have woken up
Dzjudz
Yeah it's fixed.

I see what you're saying...
...but why is it that people expect something for nothing? They could just decide to not ever have a weekend event. Sure, the game would be more plain and boring than it can get now, but expecting them to extend something that's already considered a present [in a sense], is just selfish.
Pardon my rant. People just amaze me sometimes.

Well they say it starts at noon PST and it doesn't. If they're not going to start it then, they shouldn't announce it in the first place.

It makes you wonder--they have been doing weekend events for years...how the heck did they manage to mess this up this time? (and who exactly is still left working on gw ---besides said janitor)
Quaker
There may be a delay in the SS/LB, but there's no delay in the QQ!
Darcy
They are automating these repeatable events and there is nothing like a computer for messing things up.

According to Facebook, Linsey has been staying late at work almost every night "supposedly" working on the new content for the 5th anniversary. She seems excited about it, but considering that she's basically solo on the content, I'm not really expecting much (besides micro-transaction bullshit).

no the start time was not the issue-exactly, the fact that they said it would start at a certain time and it didnt is.
eg Your mom says dinner will be at 5pm, not a problem as this is the normal time. Your mom then says this weekend dinner will be at 5:30pm and since she has been right before you have faith that that is when dinner will be.
5:30 rolls around and no dinner, 6,7....ok," what's up mom, you said dinner was gonna be at 5:30 its now 7" not that you are hungry, you are just used to things working out on a regular schedule.....
This isnt much of a problem if your mom only misses that one dinner. However, if this is a beginning of a pattern, let's say she doesnt pick you up from school on time, she doesnt get the laundry done, the dishes arent washed everyday etc....then you start to wonder, what the heck is going on?
The pattern of things not working the way anet says they should is the issue.....delays in skill balances, mess ups with events (the wintersday hat comes to mind), etc. Your faith in anet is being put to the test. Just HOW MUCH will you put up with before its too much?
No I really didnt care that the event didnt start on time as I wasnt playing then anyways though if I had planned on playing for that specific event and it wasnt happening------
It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth (so to speak) about how gw is being taken care of (and how gw2 might not be either).....
You wouldnt take your car to a mechanic who habitually is late or doesnt fix things correctly, would you?

Can I please come to the world where nothing ever goes wrong? I can only imagine how wonderful it is where machines don't malfunction, there are never any storms, earthquakes, or forest fires.
Stuff happens. And in this case, it's piddly stuff. Get over it.
