hero builds for a survivor?
inglorious_raizo
Hey guys, quick question for the experienced survivors, what hero builds work best when going for this title? Specifically for a sin, warrior or derv. (currently I'm running a survivor sin)

Discordway works nicely. That's if you're able to get all three necromancers without dying. Obtaining Livia (Asura lands) may prove to be more difficult if you aren't careful.
A spirit-spammer hero would work nicely too. (Have to be extra careful for end-game Nightfall/Norn Tournament if you are planning on getting Razah/Xandra).
As for you, go /mo and use Protective Bond constantly.
Survivor insignias work well to have the monsters ignore you.
Or, you could do what 90% of the population does - Kilroy's Dungeon. I wouldn't suggest it, unless you want to go crazy due to excessive boredom. That, and I don't view it as a legit way of obtaining the Survivor title; but that's just me. I obtained mine from going through the storylines. So far, 2.2mil+ EXP and counting without deaths.

Sounds good man thanks for the tips. And no way I'm doing kilroys lol I agree that isn't a legit way to get the other ranks of survivor. I mean I kinda cheat a bit and hunt snow wurms until first rank and use the drop money for max armor. As far as getting the experience points, I kinda do the same thing and just play the campaigns but I spend most of my time repeating all the eotn quests books to get max rankings and the large xp from it all. But yeah I'll look into trying to get the three necros. Thanks again

Spiritway is probably a lot safer if you are willing to do some micro/pulling.

good luck with that title , i lost my rit survivor title because of lag yesterday.
That would be my 5th char that lost survivor because of the everpresent lag (at times)

E/Mo bonder. Seriously. Just maintain the bond on yourself. If you're running a sin you've not really picked the safest char to make a survivor the legit way! If you wanna be safe, take the bonder, and on your bar:
Shadow Form
Shroud of Distress
Deadly Paradox
Then whatever attack skills you prefer. It may be a little lame but I lost my survivor to a single spell from an ele boss, ever though I was wearing max armour. This way, you're immune to Spells, and can't take a huge amount of damage at any 1 time. If you do get caught up in big melee you'll get big regen and 75% CTB once you're <50% health, giving you ample to time F12+Enter! Good luck!

I agree wholely with running shadowform if you're going to do it as a sin. If you can I would suggest running A/E for glyph of swiftness over deadly paradox. Its less energy intensive, so you should be able to run with all health runes with less trouble.
When I did survivor I tried to get as many durable little not-me targets as I could running around. My heroes were Word of Healing Dunkoro, Flesh Golem minion bomber Olias (with masochism), and barrage/pet Jin. I played a spirit spam/restro hybrid rit. If you want to have a spirit spammer in your party I suggest just using a necro instead, its way less risky than the norn tournament for Xandra. Keep a res on all your heroes. The faster you can get someone up the less likely you are to wipe/die/resign/alt+f4, and your monk isn't always available to res. You don't need one yourself though, you should be focused on keeping yourself alive.
Olias: OANDUspNSANVBoBJgGNLCVVvTA
Jin: OgMU0Cre18GL+x7+3c+00WnA - not spectacular, but works and I had all the skills just for doing skill quests as a ranger in proph on another char
Beastmaster: http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:R/P_Beastmaster - more durable pet if you like that
Dunk: I don't still have his build, but WoH, patient spirit, your favorite res, your favorite hex removal (x2), protective spirit, aegis, and a misc slot (try vigorous spirit for a sin). Heal 12, Prot 10, Divine 8 should do.
NRt: You can get a suitable SoS spirit spammer build off the wiki. A hybrid might look something like this: OAhjYghqIPXzlZ5EjJNHmjzLGA
Whatever you decide to run, get a good set of heroes you're going to use everywhere and invest right off in full runes and insignias for them. If you have spare greens or max gold's lying around it's good to give those to them as well. Remember if you die and recreate the character you can salvage off all those runes/insignias from the heroes without risk of loosing them, since hero armor can't break.
When in Nightfall I took henchmen like Herta for Ward against Melee and Sogolon for general party protection. I recommend Gehraz too, for a durable tank. As a sin, you'll want a durable melee character to take attention off you. Both NF monk henchmen blow, pick whichever you think is the lesser of two evils. Factions has too many henchmen, but take the same idea of Earth ele's will have a Ward, Rit's will have some party protection/support, and another melee that's not-you. You should get on the Wiki before traveling around and look up your monk choices in Factions to pick the monks you're most comfortable with (since there's 6 in factions).
For prophesies find a good friend or someone you can trust (ideally with a good connection) and never use the prophesies henchmen. They are crap. Its a good idea to not travel alone through the other campaigns either, but prophesies henchmen are particularly bad.
