Hi. A friend of mine recently picked up Nightfall, and is enjoying the game so far. I came up with this build for general end-game PvE, and I really wanted to see what you think of it. She plays a Warrior, and I play a Paragon.
You can find the build at http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/User:RustyTheMesmer/Sandbox, it's the first time I've designed a build like this, I usually just run Sabway. I've tried to copy the "2-man Physical Support" build and play around the deficiencies of only having Nightfall, I think I've done a decent job but I'd love some input from someone who actually does end-game PvE, as I've always been more into the PvP side of things.
Any suggestions would be very welcome, thanks in advance :-)
Rate my build: 2-man (physical) + heroes, but one person limited to NF

its definitely worth dropping the rez or something on the warrior for another copy of sy so the ai doesnt rape the paragon, and you have something the keep the party up if the para is shut down/dies.

I'd change the D/N for E/N cos better. Add curses to the E/N.
Put Strength of Honour on your SoS rit.
This means that you don't need the SS, or atleast that you can play around with skills some more.
Also, there's a reason you're only ever allowed 3 PvE skills - cos they're too good. Take more. Take out SS Rebirth Sig - you shouldn't take a res. In fact, you shouldn't ever really need to res if you're running a 2/6 build effectively. Take Asuran Scan or something similar

Although maybe ranger secondary for Never Rampage Alone with a pet?
Something in the lines of:
http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build%3AW/R_NRA_Rage_War
but without SY of course.
Or a modification of it if you'd want to keep the sword. You're right, I did miss that. I thought he said his friend only had NF and I overlooked SY!
Well that's true. However, that being the case it means he's only going to play NF, none of which is challenging until you get to DoA, and these builds don't stand a chance there!
Honestly mate, I'd suggest buying the other 3. I realise that's not the topic here, but you can get them all for about £15 I saw recently. Don't let the whole 'GW2 is coming out soon!' put you off. That'll be a while yet and I think GW2 will be most like GW:EN so it'll prepare you. Besides which, you've never really played Guild Wars until you've played through Tyria
