Hey there! Now don't get the wrong idea... I'm not here trying to illegally play Guild Wars... What has happened is I bought a copy of guild wars second hand... Little did I know I need a "Security Card" I believe it's called... Now I would like to know if there is a place where I could BUY a brand new card... from like an official shop?

Thank you in advance.

do you mean access key? if so. Once it has been used, you can not use it again. If you bought a used copy with a used access key code---you will need to buy a whole new copy as the rest of the stuff (book, cd's etc) arent worth much as you can download the client from guild wars offical site for free.
I am sorry to say you will need to buy an unused key code to play (and I hope you didnt spend too much on that used copy)

Oh no! I didn't get an access key at all! So there is no way I can buy (as you call it) an unused key code from the guild wars company?

You can purchase a 'digital' copy from the NCsoft Store.

Remember that - the CD's are really worth nothing at all as you can download and patch the entire game for free from the official site (www.guildwars.com/download) - sure they can be somewhat useful to someone on a slower connection (or connection limited to X amount of GB per month) but try to stay away from 'used' copies of GW. 99.9% of the time the key is not going to be there. it will already have been used.

Sorry, bud. You got scammed. If you used a credit card to buy the used copy then dispute the charge with them and try and recover your money (ditto for Paypal).

The discs, manuals, etc are all freebies. You're actually buying an account keycode when you purchase the game and almost no MMO's can be sold used.

Bad solution, only because the NCSoft store actually charges more for a code than you can get a brand new copy of the game for.

If your interested in the game, try looking at your local computer and/or game shop - it might have the GW Trilogy pack there. This pack is generally a lot cheaper to buy than buying from Anet/PlayNC's official store.

If you are in the USA. I think you can buy a GW card (like an iTunes card) from some 7-11s, or w/e, convenience store.

If you have already "installed" the game from the used copy, and created an account (not sure if you can create an account without a key, but w/e) - you can just add the key to the existing install/account without re-installing the game or creating another account.

Buying guildwars used is always a bad idea. as the game does not need ANYTHING but a login. thats it. cause the game is totally downloadable for free at all times from the webpage client install. Always buy Guildwas NEW. otherwise the original owner can ALWAYS take the account back at anytime. Even if you did buy it from them they just log in with a master account as they own that, and can take the account back... its a common trick of the scammers.
