How do I increase my damage when I attack?

I am level 17 and do 14-25 damage to the mobs around North Kryta Province, my setup is.

Healing Prayers - 5
Strength - 14
Swordsmanship - 7
Tactics - 6

I use a Long Sword
Slashing Dmg 14-20 (requires 7 swordmanship)
Dmg +3 (vs Giants)
Damage +20%

How can I change my set up to increase my attack (without using skills).

my Hauberk gives Swordsmanship +3
My Leggings gives Strength + 3

I have just done the D'Alessio Seaboard Mission

I also have another question.

I have armour that gives Armour +20 (the Gladiator armour from Lions Arch).

How/where can I get stronger armour?

I think that's the point of the forums for people to ask questions, and people to answer them.

I now know the answers. and with the attitude of the 2 people who've posted I doubt I'll be coming back to these forums either..

Don't use Superior runes. The health loss hurts more than the attribute gain helps. Damage is a very complex equation. Your level, monster level, weapon damage, armor, resistances, etc all factor into it. But skills are the main source of damage, do not neglect them.

Stupid question gets a stupid answer:

For one, you want to increase damage without using skills.

Well, you can get a max damage sword and customize it, but other than that your going to have to use skills. Which is good, relying on auto-attacking is bad.

You can get better (max) armor at Droknars, which is much later in the game.
