like the title states, i think this feature would be a very nice addition to the maptravel system. Example: When im at gToB, accepting my Zaishen quest or bounty, id really like to have a "Travel" button that takes me to the mission outpost or the nearest outpost to where the bossbounty is. Dont Anet thinks its worth the effort, they prob want to put their energy in gw2. it would surely improve my Gaming experience.

Just like a "Travel back and forward to the outpost you were before this one, similar to the "Leave guild hall" option

Would be convenient, especially for people on slow connections, but I don't think its that annoying to map through the port towns. Plus you run into the problem of a boss being in the middle of an area and there really is no closest outpost, or the quickest way to the boss from outpost A is brutally harder than the longer but easier route from outpost B.

And if we had that feature I would never have a reason to pass through LA/Kamadan/K City

I don't find it particularly annoying, so I don't care either way. Seems easy enough, though there are some obvious exploits that will need to be covered, which will take some time.

I feel like your idea is significantly different from that one that I'm not doing that. Link to be removed.

There's a button that allows you to travel to your Guild Hall (though it's not like you can do that any other way) and there used to be a button that allowed you to travel to the Hero Battles arena (which no longer exists for obvious reasons).

This is my only real concern, but otherwise, it seems like the framework for something like this might already be done. Also, this is likely something suitable for certain quests, and only certain Zaishen quests. There are three possible places for you to be taken to kill something in the Underworld, and there are two sides to Fort Aspenwood, Jade Quarry, and Alliance Battles. For missions though, this is easily doable for each one.

As long as you wouldn't be allowed to travel there via the quest unless you'd been there before, this idea seems great to me.

What are you? So lazy you cant open the map twice and travel twice? Seriously, this would be a waste of time to make a luxury to cure utter laziness.

I see more troubles than benefits. As noted, it isn't a lot of time to travel, just have to do so an extra time or 2. But lets say you have a new character that has just reached the GToB. And the Zaishen Mission is Gate of Madness. Your character hasn't been there yet, so how would the game handle this? Not put the button in, make the button grey? Then lets say you join teams with someone who has. I know there are already situations where one character can reach a spot and another can't, but some of these issues would be new. Coding and testing will take a decent amount of time. And for things like Shayne mentioned (UW/FoW boss bounties) it gets worse. Do you go to Temple of Ages, Zin Ku Corridor, Chantry of Secrets, or possibly even Lornar's Pass (Beacon's Perch)?

Although it would be nice, I just don't see it as needed, and it would be a strain on the Live Team. I'd rather they actually fix bugs, update skills, and if they would actually start doing some little things, fix armor clipping issues and focus on new content.
