I agree that this happens. But a solution would be to clear the enemies that are near the rez shrine as a precautionary tactical measure.
You need to stop being a victim! Take control of the battlefield! Own it!
Or something like that.
Oh, and don't die.
Put enemies OUTSIDE of res portal

Happened to me too on the barbarous shore where the derv and rit boss are. We were fighting near the rez shrine and we all died and kept dieing over and over because they wouldnt leave the shrine. They stood right on the shrine.
That stuff doesnt happen much to me but I guess I'll sign if it happens to others a lot.

Or does my build influence the chances of me having to go afk?

BTW - would change the title on this thread. It suggests you WANT mobs by res-points. I was confused when read it.
Tryia -
In the north part of southern shiverpeaks there is a res-point right next to the a warp into the next section. Trolls swarm around it. You die and your buggered.
In the center of southern shiverpeaks, in that hard section. When you warp into that section from the previous side, you end up right in the middle of a mob. That same mob is right next to the res-point and the mob contains an MM.
Outside one of the towns in southern-shiverpeaks, down a hill a res point is right next to a mob. They dont move around it, but if you die after agro-ing them, then they do because they get pulled in.
Another one exists north of the southern most camp in souther-shiverpeaks. It res's you in middle of a crawl mob. Or very very very close.
Elona -
The south east end, where the beach is with the boats. A res-point is directly next to the huge mob of enemies near the 3 collectors.
There was another one - but its lost on me.
Cantha -
You could include virtually all the res-points in the forest, because its that close cut in there.
But the one north of the southern-most camp in the forest. Its rather close to mobs when you res.
No doubt there are more, but right now I cant think of any.
Anyway
/signed. Totally. I find it frustrating Anet doesnt realise not to put res-points next to huge mobs.

Mobs inside Abaddon's torment seem to specially LOVE this behaviour.
The 3 second of invulnerabily are not enough to get of our there and recover, when there are 7*5=35 replicated Abaddon Beasts waing for you and bodybloquing the way.
- Mobs should scape the shrines and stay away by a long bow range from them.
- Players won't be able to attack in a 'in the area' range from the Shrine.
Additionally:
- A player of a party using /beg in a shrine should take back dead allies to the shrine like when they are wiped.
- /kneel called god messenger spirits in Cantha should have the same options like they have in Elona, for all the 10 classes.
- Since all of them in Tyria give the +3 regen blessing they may leave them that way or decide to also use the Elonian spirits.

The res points is directly next to them too.
So the minute you walk through and apear on the other side, your ambushed and your stuck due the res point.
Its the two MMs which get you, because you get rushed by minions the second you res and obviously feed them with more once you die.
Its an issue which needs settled and never repeated, as it was in NF in the ROT with huge mobs right next to res points.

/Signed over and over and over. Leave from the Gate of Torment to The Nightfallen Jahai. It's easy to avoid that mob initially, but if your party dies anywhere else..... *POOF* You're rez'd in the middle of utter frickin madness. It's bad enough that you have to fight for 15 minutes just to start clearing them out, but then the sucker's respawn!
I'm not the type to get pissed about "most" annoyances and inconveniences in a video game, but this had me so ticked I wanted to punch the wall.
Again.... /Signed over and over and over.

North of Chantry of Secrets. Has happened to me twice before.
Try to sneak past the three groups with Scytheclaw Behemoths and whatnot with 3 heroes and 4 henchies on your trail. I always seemed to get caught. If this happens, you get slaughtered, and since they're so close to the res shrine, they'll continue killing. The problem with this: The mobs grow exponentially practically. Behemoth gravebanes summon undead minions.
That aside, it's still super-fun to attempt to kill them.
/signed I suppose (Just no spawns hysterically close to the res shrine)

My initial response is to go /unsigned, suck it up etc.. etc...
But then I read a couple of posts, and I have to agreee there are certain instances where this could be considered pratically game breaking.
You should never be ressed into a mob, that you did not engage, be it with your aggro bubble or directley. That is what I think, so however they have to go about it to make it happen they should. Perhaps the game could make a quik decision, and if the nearest rez shrine is swarmed it could assign a temp location out of way the action, probably better ideas, but its a start.
