Please help!
Previously I was playing Guild Wars on my macbook air, on bootcamp, and it worked fine. But now, having bought a new macbook white, the game refuses to work, saying that it fails to initialize the 3D output. It also say that I should try updating my video driver. I've downloaded a few NVIDIA drivers, but I still keep getting the same message. Does this mean that Guild Wars will never work on my Macbook/is there somehow a solution to this? :'(

the macbook (i assume it's the plastic version) should be able to run GW just fine while running windows.

An obvious question would be - are you using Bootcamp on the new machine? I assume so.
What graphics adapter is in it? From reading about it, I think it's a 9400M.
I'm not familiar enough with running Bootcamp, so I can't say whether you need a Mac driver or a Windows driver for it. I would assume that a Mac driver came with it. Maybe some Mac user on here or Yahoo will answer.

If you are running in bootcamp all problems softwarewise are window problems. It's just like running windows on any other pc, but with mac hardware. There are drivers that comes with bootcamp to make life easy, but don't confuse them with being mac drivers.
I ran gw flawlessly on the first gen macbook and in comparison your computer should be a beast and have no problem what so ever. Don't worry it shouldn't be a problem when you get the (albeit strange) software problems out of the way.
Personally I'm running gw under crossover in os x because I'll stay away from windows if I can and it works wonders on my mbp which has the same graphic card (well, I have two cards, but that's one of them and it's the one I'm running gw of).

The 9400M can run GW just fine, the problem is software related. If you are using bootcamp, you should look into Windows drivers for the 9400M chip.

Do you have the bootcamp drivers installed on the Windows side? They should have come with the CD on your Mac.
You have to run bootcamp, install Windows, then run the bootcamp CD from inside Windows again to make sure everything works properly.
