hello all,
i got scammed 2 days ago on my VQ service for around 80k
while this is mainly my fault i shouldn't have given him the opportunity to
pay afterwards instead upfront.
anyway i would like to report this guy
GW has this /report command but this didn't work since he was not in my "district" (he left straight after i finished the last VQ)
is there any other way to report this guy or do they just get away as soon as they zone?
greetz

It's your fault. But its possible they could suspend him for scamming.

You take a screen of the conversation and the agreement."you run him, and he agreed to pay you after you killed everything " and then send that to support.
For the future, you shouldn't make people pay only at the end (which is what it sound like if you still had to get 80K), you don't make people pay at start either, because then it's not such a good idea for the person paying.
Make people pay in increments, so if you have to vanq 400 foes you ask for payment at each 100 kills or something like that, or if you still only want people to pay at the end, then you should ask them to pay before you kill the last group you need to get the vang, so if you need to kill 400, you ask for payment when you have killed 375 foes.
This works better if you have the heroes, so they will follow you and not the person being run.If possible you should make sure your heroes are the damage and let the henchies be the healers, because that way, if the person being run decided to try to kill the enemies by himself, he wont have enough damage to do it.

thanks for the fast help
@Xenex:
yes i adjusted the method of payment.
it has always been pay upfront, he just played it smart
he asked for 2 areas starting from ToA (Nebu and cursed lands)
payed these 2 upfront. when i was finished he asked me if i had time for the next few areas since we were with 8 man here anyway.(this happens all the time with other paying customers) and ofc he didn't have money at him, at this point i didn't expect anything since he was all nice and stayed and chatted throughout all the VQs.
and that the end we had to go back to town to pick up the money and said bye and left.
never saw it coming.
im sure this will now never happen to me again cause i make no more Exceptions and now i wont do anymore areas than agreed upon upfront.
but i am determent to get this guy cause it looks like he planned this which makes it worse than someone just taking this opportunity to make some extra cash.
thanks again

Screenshot it, send it to [email protected] with an explanation of what happened, what time it happened, what area it was in, and the name of the player who scammed you.

I hate to say it, but as stated before about people not paying for dungeon runs. Anet does not support runs. Aka that would include vanquishing for other people. Therefore u can report the guy all you want but nothing will happen to him. Just be on the look out in the future and make people pay upfront.
