There is, save for bonus content/initial hero weaps, the option not to customise the weapons in the first place. If you chose to customise when you know you will use the weapon on another char, it is your own fault.

Silly idea.. Then we have to do the same with armor..
Its customized for YOU, not your account.

Already been suggested, use search, bla bla bla.
ON POINT:
/notsigned. You CHOSE to customize the weapons. Don't customize if you know you wanna use it for other characters.

Don't see why not (but I don't see it happening).
The point of customisation is to remove it from the economy, which it still does whether its customised for the character or the player and customisation is not optional for any martial weapon that is being used - the 20% customisation bonus has a bigger impact than upgrading from a white to a gold.

If you see yourself wanting to sell or use the weapon elsewhere do not customise it.
If you see yourself wanting to customise (which you should, if it's something that matters), then customise.
My advice: Customise a max but cheap weapon until you've got enough to buy the skin you want, that way you'll get the +20% damage and won't waste money on weapons you've customised but can't sell (and will upgrade to better skin).
As for account wide customising, perhaps for weapons. The only time it would be of much use is for heroes or if you have multiple characters of the same profession, so it won't be much reward for however much effort it will take.

For the sake of weapons enshrined in the HoM. /signed! I think they should be dedicated like mini-pets instead.
For other weapons, /not signed. Be certian that customizing any weapon is what you truely want to do.

I would prefer an option to uncustomize, this idea has been mentioned on GW Guru aleady.

this idea is pretty much useless

I would actually like this idea. hehe
Customize a destroyer/tormented in hall for a char that seldom uses that weapon type and is silly. Sure a hero could use it, but really would be nice if could use it on a char that needs that kind of weapon instead of having to rebuy. In other words, it would be more practical. :P
