Possible to complete Urgoz's and/or The Deep with 2 players?
Vulturion
I am still - 5 years in - chipping away at the HoM & GWAMM with my brother.
We've gotten Fissure, DoA & Underworld done, so I'm wondering if there is any way to complete Urgoz's and/or The Deep with just the 2 of us plus our Heroes?
I doubt I'd be able to persuade him to team-up with strangers, but even if I could (presumably on a rare Zaishen bounty day) we'd probably prefer to keep our roll of conquering elite areas & HM titles on are own.
We're just after the monuments so only concerned with NM, and while we don't have access to all profession combinations that will be up to us to improvise - I'd just love to know of any way to complete either dungeon with 2 players.
The closest I could find on PvX was an archived 9 character trapper combo from 2007, which didn't seem terribly relevant to the current state of skills.
N.B. Never having got so far as facing Urgoz I'm only going on wiki info, but I believe that the revamped (damage dealing) Binding Chains has divided builds into those that worked before Feb 25th and those that still work after.

Urgoz can be hard enough with a full party of 12 humans. Trying to do it with 2 humans and 6 heroes would probably prove suicidal. Same goes for the Deep.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for an unexpected 5th anniversary rescue then - removal of hero cap, elimination of environmental effects in NM etc.

you have to go thru the 4 portals in the deep. Often heroes will ping across to you but i dont know how it would go with just 6 heroes.
getting them on to a portal if u have gone thru can be hard and the longer it takes the less energy they have for a while.
I have done it with 3 real players +heroes and we had a few out of action for a long time due to the energy thing, so i guess it could be possible.

Won't be able to get past the first room in the deep with less than 4 humans. Heroes cannot trigger portals on their own, they only follow the player they belong to through them. Room one for the Deep has 4 portals that only allow 3 people though them each. So you'd need at least 4 humans.... unless the rebirth exploit still works, but I never used that to know how it functioned.

Deep I don't think can be done...however long long ago on these forums someone posted a build they used for 2 person 6 hero (actually 1 person 6 hero as the other was their alt account and yeah)...I might see if I can find it...
Edit: was unable to find teh build...but being normal mode and all and tons of plant foes in huge balls I might recommend a fire nuker (or 2 or 4 xD ) with deep freeze in there to help keep em all together...

part of Urgoz and The Deep is working side by side with other players...If you do not like that, well I advise you avoid those areas than.

Since you can't reduce the amount of damage reduction/healing skills to keep your team alive, you are hurting your damage output more than you think and lenghtening time you need to kill mobs even more, since they have healing capabilities.
Knowing that if you are looking to do it only once in NM,
you need to know functionnalities you need to have to succesfully complete this mission and avoid unsuspected failures.
They are speed clear ways but be sure to check walkthrough of official wiki bcse they generally skip Twisted Bark in Exhaustion room you probably want to get rid off as a 2-man team for example.
EDIT : comments are for Urgoz' Warren

End: Well thanks for looking - when we finish our Guardian tracks, we'll take a few punts at them.
Aeronwen & MagmaRed: A while back we did get 6 heroes across with us - I remember it/experimentation being a hassle - but fell foul of one of the early rooms.
I think it was the strain on our healers of keeping up, as there obviously weren't many to spread the load - this was before switched to N/Rt with those party healing urns though...
Kurosaki: yup, I am aware - but Fissure & Underworld where originally co-op dungeons, and even DoA was for a while after release... there's just a certain satisfaction in conquering those areas independently.
Even though the evolution is about 20% tactics, 40% PvE skills and 40% consets.

Back when, when The Deep was new and PuGs were forming regularly, I did The Deep with a team of only 9 people (and it was a PUG). Except for the noted problems concerning the portals, I think that, if you could get the team in there, you could do The Deep with 2 humans and 6 heroes, given the use of PvE-only skills like Pain Inverter, etc., and newer Hero builds.
I would think there may be a chance to do Urgoz's too.
But, mostly I think you would be best off to try to get a 3rd human involved so that in The Deep you could easily have 3 humans and 6 heroes, and Urgoz's would be 3 humans and 9 heroes.

The deep would probably be possible if you take your time to lure foes, for the first room I think there is a bug so that if you and the other human go in one portal while your heroes are flagged in the first room and if you then the delete the flag the heroes will teleport to you so that you are with 8(2+6) in one room. Don't know if this still works though

Have to get far enough that their names go grey, but I believe we can manage that if we duo the first 'compartment' area.

You can use the flag trick for the deep. Go in the centre right portal and you'll be fine. deep in nm shouldnt be too bad at all. can throw together pretty much asny build and do it, just pack a lot of aoe and have good interruption for kanaxai and kd for the aspects.

Regarding Urgoz Warren, I would say it is possible to reach Urgoz with 8 team members in normal mode. Not the first time you try, but with good experience of the area. But Urgoz himself is very difficult with a team of only NPCs. If you fail, you probably fail there.
If you want to be alone with your brother, ask another player to "lend" his heroes to you. The player enters the mission with you, then leaves immediately afterwards. His heroes remain and follow you like henchmen. There are no loading screens, so they remain up to Urgoz. This way your party size is 11.
Call me ingame, if you want me to do this. Additionally, give me some builds if you want the heroes to have something special. I have all skills unlocked. My ingame name is my forum name.

The deep is entirely doable, in NM at least. Will take a few tries to properly flag heroes into their portals. As long as you and your bro take the leftmost portal, which leads to the easiest initial room to clear, you should be good from there.
However, It would take alot of experience to complete an 8-man, if you hadn't attempted it yet, it will take a whole lot of trial an error to get through.
Same for Urgoz.

If i'm not mistaken i believe someone in my guild has done the deep with 2 man 6 heroes. i can check when i get home and ask him. ign: tickling heals. if you want me to let you know the outcome.

The Deep is doable 2 man/6 heroes, though some parts can be annoying. (getting all of your heroes across the gate after it closes is rather annoying) but it can be done, especially if you read through the wiki page so you know what you're up for, I'd imagine even someone who hasn't done it before should be able to complete it 2 man/6 heroes fairly easily if you use a conset. If you don't want to shell out for the cons, ask someone for advice... Wouldn't mind if you hit me up for some hints, The Deep is fun and easy.
Urgoz's warren, on the other hand... would be difficult, but also doable with 2 people 6 heroes. if you can find a third person so you can have a full party of 12 it's not overly difficult. I'd imagine you'd at least make it to urgoz on your first try provided you've got decent skill bars, though I'll admit that actually defeating urgoz with heroes is a bit of a bitch (you've gotta keep re-flagging them to avoid the explosive growths)
edit : IGN Xan Bloodshadow if you want to ask me some questions, or get any other sort of help.
