That could only be the case with the Designer. There is no level artist or special effects guy in the Live Team.
And Robert isn't likely to be replaced, and knowing Linsey, I don't think she will be either.
So far, the Live Team is 3 people: Linsey, Joe, and Robert. The rest are QA which also work for GW2. Once these positions are filled, it will be 6 - unless Linsey
is getting replaced, then 5.
All the non-designer or programmer work we've seen (the new NPC textures since M.O.X. and the Hall of Judgement area) were done by GW2 staff working overtime.
All I know is that I
really hope they give GW1 a lot more attention. I know people, and have heard of more people, who won't get GW2 - and even among those who will, many like myself will be returning to GW1 for new content.
I have been saying that the Live Team should be expanded, though probably not too vocally as I should have, and I'm glad they finally are. GW1
is still a cash cow for Anet. And will be even after GW2's release, I'm sure.
